Woman Dies After Botched Legal Abortion, Friend Calls 911: “She Feels Like She’s Gonna Pass Out”
The 911 record has been released of a call from a friend of a woman who died in a botched legal abortion. During the call, Tia Parks’ friend says she is having shortness of breath and “feels like she’s gonna pass out.”
Tia Parks died one day after her unborn baby was aborted at the Preterm Abortion facility in Cleveland. Preterm is the largest abortion facility in Ohio, performing more than one third of all abortions in the state.
Tia Archeiva Parks was a 26-year-old mother of a little girl that had just turned four when she walked in to Preterm, a Cleveland abortion facility, on June 7, 2019, for what seemed like a routine abortion in her first trimester of pregnancy. But the results were anything but routine. By the time the sun set the next day, Tia Parks was dead.
Parks had a rare potentially life-threatening condition known as heterotopic gestation that went undiagnosed by Preterm staff.
The postmortem diagnosis of a heterotopic gestation means that Parks carried two pregnancies – fraternal twins – one of which was implanted inside the uterus, and one that implanted in her left fallopian tube.
According to her autopsy, Tia Parks died from internal hemorrhaging from a ruptured left fallopian tube that occurred either during the abortion of the baby in her womb — possibly due to the force of the suction procedure — or immediately after.
The pro-life group Operation Rescue released the official recording of the 911 call.
“Operation Rescue has, however, received the 911 records related to a call placed by a friend of Tia Parks on June 8, 2019, who died later that day at the hospital as a result of a ruptured ectopic pregnancy that caused her to hemorrhage internally,” the group said.
“Parks had a rare condition known as a heterotopic pregnancy. That means that she was actually pregnant with fraternal twins. One twin was properly growing inside the womb while the other was implanted into her left fallopian tube. Preterm staff aborted the baby in the womb, but failed to diagnose and notify Parks that she suffered from a potentially life- threatening ectopic pregnancy,” it informed LifeNews.
It added: “The day after her abortion at Preterm, Parks was at a friend’s home when her pain and labored breathing became so bad that she had difficulty speaking. Her friend called 911 and asked for an ambulance for Parks, who was transported to the Cleveland Clinic where she died about two hours later. [Read the Computer Aided Dispatch printout.]”
