95 percent of Americans are “troubled” by the state of the media. In other words, they don’t believe anything the media tells them. Nearly all Americans are “troubled” by the state of the media, according to a new study from boutique PR agency, Bospar, in collaboration with Propeller Insights. The survey of 1,010 American adults found that more than 95% are troubled by the current state of media, with 53% citing “reports on fake news,” 49% citing “reporting gossip,” and 48% citing “lying spokespeople,” as the key causes. Other factors ranging from “celebrity opinions” to left- and right-wing agendas to the possible reporting of “blind items” in the news also spark concern. If the corporate media was actually doing its job, nobody would need to read a site like this. But since the media is run by Jews whose job is to put out disinformation and lies to fool the gullible goyim, it explains why people have had it with these fools. And this is why the Jewish media is calling for everybody to be banned off the Internet. They want to put their competitors out of business. The media really screwed the pooch with how they covered the 2016 presidential campaign and further damaged themselves with promoting Russiagate hoax conspiracy theories. So the results of this poll are not the least bit surprising. Quite frankly, that 95 percent number should be 100 percent because I don’t know how any normal person can objectively look at the current state of the media and believe that they are ethical by any stretch of the imagination.

You mused recently on the idea of shutting down LF and possibly switching to a more modern web platform. Since this thread has likely run its course, I thought I'd revisit that topic a bit here on this thread so I don't have to try to go back and find your original thread. I saw some familiar design elements at https://infostormer.com/ so I decided to look closer. They are running WordPress v4.8.7, using a Newspaper theme (claimed by them to be the most popular news blog theme for WP), using the sub-variant of a Cars Blog sub-theme. You can see the Cars sub-theme of Newspaper by clicking through. Notice the menu at the very top is exactly the same in layout and even in color text choice as what InfoStormer is using. There are some other things they left on default for the theme that you can see if you look under the hood at the HTML. So that tells us how they got the main WP site running and the Cars subtheme of the Newspaper commercial theme. But they also have a forum attached to the site, https://forum.infostormer.com. In all likelihood, this is just the same server but running some standalone forum software. So I looked to find out what forum software they used. It's the standard free Discourse forum software. They are using Discourse 2.3.0.beta1. Which is fine for a standalone forum website. Notice that the Discourse forum allows multimedia posts, like posting pics and videos, along with user comments, much as LF allows us to do. To make the standalone WordPress server setup work with the standalone Discourse forum server, they apparently used a free plugin called WP Discourse. It does things like auto-creates a forum thread on the Discourse side for any blog post made on the WP side and other housekeeping chores. You can find the free WP Discourse plugin and some info on its services at Github->WP Discourse. You could, IMO, setup and install a Wordpress server, the Discourse server, and the needed WP Discourse plugin with no real expertise and no paid help from anyone else. You'd need very little knowledge to do it, mostly just understanding the most basic setup of the server and your hosting company staff would probably help you do that in about 5 minutes. By contrast, installing a copy of Pinguinite (if you could get a copy of its source LOL) is a lot harder because you have to know how to set up a secure Linux platform, use Linux command line, know mySQL database, know Perl, etc. A lot more technical, probably requiring you to hire someone. BTW, P is open source and I do have a copy. If you do not have a copy of your current server configuration and P's current software used to run your site, you really should ask Neil for a copy. And you should have backups of the mySQL database that stores your user/article/comment records. Otherwise, your LF will be orphaned if anything ever happened suddenly to Neil. You might find yourself powerless to stop it all being taken down and just disappearing completely if Neil wasn't around to keep it running. With your own copy of the Perl code, the configuration files, and a regular database backup, LF could be moved intact to any Linux server fairly easily. Just something you should think about. Recall that mess when Goldi died suddenly. Anyway, we discussed this matter a little and I thought this InfoStormer site shows it's pretty easy to roll up a WordPress server and a forum site and then unite the two into a Frankensite, all using free or low-cost software, then host it on any of many commercial services that service the huge Wordpress industry. You wouldn't need a custom site on a particular server. It would all run pretty smoothly and under your complete control. And you could upgrade and customize all the theme options and such easily. You'd also have easier control over users, all integrated in a slick modern professional secure interface.d I'm afraid that LF's software, for all its merits, will never again be described by anyone as slick or modern or professional or secure. I don't doubt that there are some features at LF that you'd miss. But you would be drowning in the vast amount of other features and control available in WP/Discourse. I know, you're probably in shock that anyone on LF read your post about possibly upgrading LF and then actually remembered it a few months later, let alone did some digging to further the discussion. Better have a beer to calm down. All that said, I do keep posting at LF in part because I do like the simplicity of it. It's designed to do a job and it does it fairly well. Wordpress, for all its features, is somewhat overkill and it is a generic-looking and generic-feeling piece of software, no matter how much you theme it up. And Discourse has the same stale flavor to it IMO.
