These two are exactly the sort who would kick down doors to “secure” no-longer-allowed firearms; would herd people into busses. And much worse. The way you, and Deckard, see the country we live in now is not the great America I see. You can continue to maintain your negativity and Deckard can continue to be your disciple since he has now become such a devout follower of yours. As such he is a passionately devoted student to learn your teachings. You are now his chosen leader as his great mentor and his philosopher. But I do not believe the exaggerated negativity that you and Deckard continue to try and plant seeds of discontent that will only become fully rotted in cesspools already filled with other anarchist and libertarian shit. I have never had a reason to ask myself that and you have given me no reason to do so now. You, however, continue to give me reasons to ask you – along with also asking Deckard – that since you obviously hate this country so much and have become so fearfully terrified to walk down the streets, then why do you stay? It is as our great and illustrious president, Donald Trump once to a small group of dissatisfied women: "Our Country is Free, Beautiful and Very Successful. If you hate our Country, or if you are not happy here, you can leave!" To: Deckard (#0) (Edited) When I was a kid probably 99 percent of the cops in the US carried a 38 Special with a 4 inch barrel. Granted,bulletproof vests were uncommon back then,but so were police shootouts. Someone smarter than me needs to do a serious study as to the cause and effect of all these changes,including ALL the changes in society as well as law enforcement over the decades. I am betting the BEST place to start would be looking into the attitudes at home,including teaching the children to act responsibly. Back when I was a kid,if a kid acted up it was generally believed to be the fault of the parent as well as the child,not "the system". I am not a betting man,but I would be willing to bet than an HONEST appraisal would put the root cause as the individual family units not teaching their children they would be held responsible for their actions. IOW,the SWAT Team patrol cop of today are a response to bad parenting,and the saddest part about it is that both the cops and the parents are now responsible for how far this has escalated. The average cop of today is a total "wear red and march in a straight line" asshole,and the average kid is just a asshole. We can excuse this a little in the kid BECAUSE he is a kid,but it is MY opinion that MOST of the patrol cops are overreacting because the police brass love playing dressup as Army Generals fighting wars. That's why you see so many of them wearing stars. BTW,no honest "look" at the changes in society would be worth a damn that didn't take a serious look at the "militarization" of every police force in the nation. Cops USED to look at themselves as "peacemakers". Today they look at themselves as soldiers fighting a war against crime. BIG difference in the mindset,and this starts at the top with the top cops falling in love with wearing stars and getting surplus war equipment.
