To: BorisY (#0) he's thinking of getting the latest vaccine (me too). Has anyone taken it? I got a shingles shot some years ago. But I was told recently that it wasn't that effective and I needed to get the new one -- which comes in two parts. One now and another in 60 days. Insurance should cover it, but availability is iffy. You can get it at any pharmacy. My shot hurt like a bitch and I developed mild and brief flu-like symptoms. But, better than getting shingles.
