United States News Title: Great Summary of the Piece of Shit Obama and the Crappy State of His Union Tonight’s State of the Union Speech was the most infuriating, fact-less, pathetic, immature national speech any President has given in my 30 years of watching this stuff. Where to even start? 1. Since I have often commented on Obama’s narcissism, let’s start by pointing out that Obama used the word “I” 96 times, and “me” eight more. As pointed out in a number of his previous speeches, “I” is his favorite word. 2. Someone needs to tell Obama that he won the election in 2008. The speech tonight, like all of his speeches, are speeches of a partisan party leader, not of a President. The speech is full of invective for Republicans and anyone else who opposes his policies. 3. His patronizing is such a turn off. So ObamaCare has run into problems because he (and Pelosi/Reid) just need to do a better job of explaining it to us morons in the public? Give me a break. 4. How long is he going to continue to berate his predecessor and blame him for all of his problems? That gets old, and shows a complete inability to take responsibility. It is Obama who choose to throw a trillion dollars out the window on the so-called stimulus, then spend his entire first year trying to jam ObamaCare down our throats, rather than focusing on what the public was most concerned about, i.e., the economy. 5. The stimulus simply did not work (it was supposed to cap unemployment at 8%, instead it climbed over 10%, 17% if you throw in those who stopped looking). Yet now Obama says we need a jobs bill. Isn’t that what the stimulus was supposed to be? 6. He talks like he is such a supporter of small business, yet does not offer a single policy that would actually help them. Small business wants government out of the way. If he wants to help them, cut their taxes and regulation. Don’t talk, do it. 7. More Bush criticism, continued false propaganda on the evil Bush tax cuts for the rich. The fact that the bottom 40% pay no income tax, and the upper 5% pay a great majority of it, seems to miss his comprehension zone. It used to be that politicians at least acted like they understood that it was our money the government uses. Obama seems convinced our money is only what he decides to let us keep. 8. He lied numerous times. One example, “that’s why we’ve excluded lobbyists from policy making jobs or seats on federal boards and commissions”. Red State lists at least 10 high level examples which directly contradict this. 9. The “spending freeze” starts in 2011. Yea, right, that is when I will drop twenty pounds also. Besides, he has excluded 90% of the budget from such a freeze, including the parts that are growing exponentially. I guess he is counting on the people being as stupid as he thinks they are. 10. So he is for transparency, except apparently when it is on ObamaCare our other programs he wants to foist on us without our approval. Amazing that he can stand there with a straight face and talk about transparency when he blatantly disregarded all such promises for his first year. 11. He clearly did not get the message from the Brown election. It is astounding how out of touch he is with the pulse of America. He basically said damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead, he is going to give us dumb asses what we are too stupid to know we should want. The portion of the speech on health care was incredibly tone deaf…he still has not gotten the message. November 2010 will be a slaughter for his party. 12. He continues to tell the public that he wants Republicans and Democrats to work together to solve our nations problems. Yet, he cannot give a single instance where he actually took the lead in trying to create such harmony. In fact, he has driven the most partisan, decisive political year in memory. 13. He has no comprehension that the government cannot create net jobs and should not be in the position of picking winners and losers. When he talks of getting the economy going again, he cannot get past government “creating” green jobs, giving a litany of unprovable examples, and not mentioning the hundreds of business that have gone under because of his policies, and due to such industries being “out of favor” with Obama (such as coal). 14. ObamaCare will solve everything. We’ll have perfect, free health care and it will cut the deficit in half. It’s magic! 15. His false, demagogue criticism of the Supreme Court’s recent decision overturning parts of campaign finance reform was classic, in that Justice Alito was seen to say “not true” in response (this year’s Joe Wilson?). 16. “We are working with Muslim communities around the world to promote science, education and innovation.” Interesting. How about working with them to quit producing people who want to kill us? 17. “We have Civil Rights Division that is once again prosecuting civil rights violations and employment discrimination”. Is he trying to say that such violations and discrimination were not being prosecuted prior to his anointment? Chalk that up to another lie. 18. Yes, he has been so, so tough on Iran, North Korea, Russia, China…blah, blah. Nothing to show for it, but damn it, at least I am not Bush. 19. We are so civilized for allowing foreign terrorists who want to kill us to have constitutional protections. Obama is simply massively over his head with this job. He is an inexperienced, egotistic, sophomoric political hack with above average skills reading a teleprompter, infused with a self-belief that he is our better, our savior. This speech will not help his declining popularity. Those are just some initial thoughts! More thoughtful analysis in the days to come.
