President Donald Trump took to Twitter this morning to chide Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) for shouting down acting Secretary of Homeland Security Kevin McAleenan over conditions in detention camps during a hearing last week. "What does that mean? What does that mean when a child is sitting in their own feces, can’t take a shower? Come on, man," Cummings said to McAleenan. "None of us would have our children in that position. They are human beings." "I get tired of folks saying, 'Oh, oh, they just beating up on the Border Patrol. Oh, they just beating up on Homeland Security.' What I am saying, is I want to concentrate on these children. And I want to make sure that they are OK," Cummings added. "We are the greatest country in the world. We are the ones that can go anywhere in the world and save people, make sure they have diapers, make sure they have toothbrushes, make sure they’re not laying around defecating in some silver paper." "Come on. We’re better than that." According to Trump, Cummings has been waging a war against Border Patrol but he needs to take a look in his own backyard. Trump followed up an hour later, asking why Cummings' district gets "so much money" when it's "the worst run and most dangerous anywhere in the United States." Video of Baltimore, which sits in Cummings' district, made its way around social media, showing what the area is like. Cummings responded to Trump's attack, saying the White House has failed to act on reducing prescription drug prices, despite making a promise to address the issue. The Congressman said skyrocketing drug prices are what families in Baltimore, and around the country, are facing. I know that I broke down in tears. Well, maybe not. Maybe it was laughter. I love how Trump baits these morons. They don't realize that he doesn't care much about whether they are covering him unfavorably. At times, he prefers negative press coverage. Trump has his own media strategy and it works for him. But I don't think it would work for anyone else nearly as well.
Cummings, like all the rest of the Democrat-Communist Party, is a lazy slow- witted imbecile. It appears that all of the plantation negroes bought and paid for by the CPUSA is like a recording of the Communist manifesto.
Liberals are like Slinkys. They're good for nothing, but somehow they bring a smile to your face as you shove them down the stairs.
And what Trump is saying is that it's too bad he doesn't feel the same way about the children in his district in Baltimore.
Well, Cummings' district is actually a mix. It has some decent middle-class neighborhoods, some rather tony subdivisions for upper-class elite types and business people. Ben Carson's home is in Cummings' district, for instance. So it would not be accurate to say that Cummings' district is some complete shithole because there are some pretty nice neighborhoods in there too. And Trump didn't say it was a shithole. However, there are some rather large areas in Cummings' district that look like a Third World country after a natural disaster. Buildings that look unmaintained for 50 years and lost their last tenants 20 years ago, now just neglected husks. A lot of it looks like Detroit did back before Detroit just starting tearing down neighborhoods of abandoned and ruined buildings and turning most of them back into farmland.
Correct. I did. And I did not say his entire district was a shithole. I was referring to that part of his district that is a third-world, rat- and rodent-infested shithole. He's represented that district for 25 years and what has he done? Not a fucking thing. Yet he has the balls to criticize ICE and Border Patrol because illegals don't have toothbrushes? Does he support changing our immigration laws? No. Did he support additional funding to care for these children at the border? No.
Sounds like another stellar champion of the poor and downtrodden: Maxine Waters. But she keeps a nice home in another congressional district so she doesn't have to live around her constituents. You'd think they'd wise up and elect someone from their district and who lives in their district and who would actually represent them, not the interests of Dem party bosses.
Only one way. Term limits. The Dem party won't allow another Dem to run, and a Republican doesn't stand a chance.
More than one way obviously. Vote out the Dem, elect a GOP. Dump the GOP in two years if a Dem serious about helping you shows up. Maryland hasn't exactly suffered during the term(s) of its Republican governor who no one thought could be elected. And he's done well enough but he lacks the power to fix Baltimore.

No. If they're stuck on stupid, that is their right as citizens unless you can prove Waters is an actual crook and not just a race-baiting panderer. If all they want is a fake race-baiting panderer to represent their interests, that is their free choice.

We don't get to vote each other's reps out of office according to the Constitution. It's a bug. It's a feature. Annoyingly, it's both.
Not directly, no. But since those reps are voting on issues that affect every U.S. citizen, we do have the power to financially support their opponents or call for term limits on all reps.
Dems do. They bus them to various districts so they can vote early and often. Death is not an excuse.

Al Sharpton would always ask me to go to his events. He would say, "it's a personal favor to me." Seldom, but sometimes, I would go. It was fine. He came to my office in T.T. during the presidential campaign to apologize for the way he was talking about me. Just a conman at work!
