A reporter asked Trump a question about Omar and Trump replied: "There's a lot of talk about the fact that she was married to her brother. I know nothing about it. … I’m sure that somebody would be looking at that."
I just laugh at the way he talks, the deliberately tortured phrases.
Since the press teed this one up for him, he is "forced" to offer what information he has "heard" and then disclaim any knowledge of the topic at all.
In the meantime, the House attempt to impeach Trump for his tweets has failed.
Even Jake Tapper - among other Democrat pols/activists - is admitting that Trump won this round.
House Democrats may have appeared united in the resolution condemning President Trump for a series of tweets aimed at Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), but behind the scenes we have chaos. A few talked to Tapper off the record and noted this whole fiasco has been a massive win for the Trump White House. There was infighting between AOC and Speaker Pelosi, which is good, but what’s even better is forcing the Democratic leadership to remembrance this Leninist Girl Scout Troop from Hell and their extremist agenda and anti-Semitic remarks. Oh, and Omar made sure to make it clear to CBS’s Gayle King that she doesn’t regret her remarks.
"The president won this one,” said one House Democrat to Tapper, “What the president has done is politically brilliant. Pelosi was trying to marginalize these folks and the president has now identified the entire party with them."
And Trump released that new 2020 campaign video, his first real one. Trump will run a Morning In America campaign like the 1984 Reagan campaign.
The big GOP political strategists were wailing that Trump made himself a target of attacks for his tweets and took the heat off the Dems who had spent a week tearing each other apart. What they overlooked was that Trump is branding the entire 2020 Dem party as the footsoldiers of the Commie Squad. In much the same way as the GOP demonized Pelosi in multiple elections, Team Trump is going to make the Squad the face of the Dem party.
Trump is no doubt coordinating this with the RNC who must absolutely love it. There are, after all, only about 21 real toss-up seats in the country. They flip back and forth, usually being held by the party opposite the president's. Trump may have only been elected with a majority of 75,000 votes across three states (MI/WI/PA) but Pelosi's House majority was elected by only about 45,000 votes scattered across the country in a lot of different congressional districts.

Along with the Squad in the House, Trump has a bunch of socialist kooks running in the Dem presidential primary, tearing each other up and getting eviscerated by the woke Left for all their past sins. And raising their hands in unison to support free healthcare for illegals at public expense. Along with lots of other freebies they want to bestow with other people's money.
Trump is doing pretty well at defining the Dems in the public mind.
