If you go to various cities in California, one of the first things you’ll notice is the shocking amount of homeless people that are camped out on the streets. I wish I could say these were people just down on their luck, but where homeless camps pop up, an inordinate amount of drug use does as well. And for some reason, Austin, Texas, wants to be just like them. Austin’s Mayor Steve Adler made it legal for homeless people to set up tents on city streets so long as they aren’t blocking pathways. In an interview, Adler said he doesn’t think that this will cause problems like it does in Los Angeles or San Francisco, but Austin residents, especially women, are worried about safety concerns. Needless to say, Abbott is not happy. Abbott took to Twitter once again to show people what kind of dangers the policies Austin enacted are bringing on. Quote tweeting a Texas resident who caught an accident caused by homeless people darting into traffic caused a major accident near downtown Austin. “Look at this insanity caused by Austin’s reckless homeless policy. Quick, you'd better write some angry letters to your congresscritter and make a few more donations to the ACLU 'cause those jackbooted legislators and the Governor Greg "Hitler" Abbot in Texas are finally being forced to act to protect their state capitol from being overrun by homeless drug addicts. What right do these fascist Texas legislators have to prevent local rule by the mayor of Austin (who likes to travel to San Fran and Seattle and other homeless paradises for more info on how to make Austin into a homeless paradise too)?
Hey. Those homeless drug addicts have rights, too. And they're putting good use to those empty spaces under bridges and between highways.

Okay. I'll give you credit for consistency. I do think you might have a different opinion if you lived near one of these bum-overrun bridges or addict-infested highway medians. But wait a second... What about those people with nearby homes and businesses in proximity to these places where the bums congregate to shoot up or smoke crack and then sleep it off before they regain consciousness and go out to engage in panhandling and petty crime to afford their next fix or drink? What about the property rights of those homeowners and business owners? Don't they have a right to sue the local jackboot mayor and city council for lowering their property values by allowing the entire area to be overrun by bums? You don't seem to be very consistent here in defending the property rights of local businesses and homeowners in the same way that you were so concerned only 4 days ago with property values for those living near the elderly couple in Florida with the vegetable garden in their front yard. Certainly, the bridges and highway medians and sidewalks and alleys in Austin are public property and are not zoned for any sort of human occupancy or camping.
