The Left's War On Christians Title: Project Veritas Exposes Anti-Christian Bias on Pinterest James OKeefe is at it again
This time, the investigative journalist has discovered a big tech whistleblower who says Pinterest keeps a porn blacklist upon which it places conservative and Christian websites in order to block their content. Among the websites blacklisted by Pinterest are LiveAction.org, a pro-life website started by Lila Rose, and the libertarian stock market news website ZeroHedge.com. Both are classified as pornography to prevent pins to their content being linked to their respective websites. According to OKeefes Project Veritas: Project Veritas has received and published documents from an insider at Pinterest. The documents, which include product code, Slack messages, and internal policies, reveal terms and websites that Pinterest apparently censors. In an interview, the Pinterest insider who leaked the documents explains how the company censors pro-life and Christian content on the website. Said Project Veritas founder James OKeefe: The documents we obtained raise questions about whether or not these tech companies really operate like neutral platforms, as opposed to publishers with editorial agendas. Pinterest is a publicly traded social media company headquartered in San Francisco that has nearly 300 million active monthly users. In the past, Project Veritas released undercover footage of Twitter employees discussing shadow banning, and also published leaked documents from Facebook which revealed plans to target and demote conservative commentary. Rose was later asked to respond to the discovery that her website was deemed pornography to prevent users from accessing it: Pinterest says that their mission is to help empower people to discover things that they love, but despite the fact that millions of people love babies and the pro-life cause, they are secretly censoring our life-affirming messages. Pinterest users deserve to know the truth and our messages deserve to be treated fairly. Project Veritas followed up today with Pinterest officials. A spokesperson first claimed the LiveAction.org website was no longer on the porn domain blacklist, but then later told a reporter that LiveAction.orgs account had been permanently suspendedbut did not explain why. The spokesperson then offered the following statement: Religious content is allowed on Pinterest, and many people use our service to search for an save Pins inspired by their beliefs. To protect our users from being targeted based on personal characteristics, such as their religion, we have policies in place so that ads and recommendations dont appear alongside certain terms. Project Veritas however provided documents that prove specific terms like Christian, Bible verses, and Christian Easter have been deemed sensitive terms that will not autocomplete. Pinterest has also reportedly labeled videos produced by the Center for Medical Progress that expose the horrors of Planned Parenthood and Big Abortion as harmful.
