Libertarian was coined to mean an advocate or defender of liberty as early as 1796 in an article in the London Packet. The use of the word libertarian to describe a new set of political positions is traced to a letter French libertarian communist Joseph Déjacque wrote in 1857. Déjacque also used the term for his anarchist publication. In the mid-1890s, Sébastien Faure began a libertarian publication. Libertarianism has frequently been used as a synonym for anarchism since this time. And so it came to be that the term libertarian has been used on record for 230 years and defined many times over. Yet we find that now – on March 11, 2019 – Eric July has to come along and tell you retards What libertarianism IS. If libertarians are correct in claiming that they understand how best to organize a modern society then why don’t they understand What libertarianism IS since it was first established over two centuries ago? Poster Comment - Ron Paul needs Eric July to explain to him what libertarianism is? Come on – jesus H. christ - this is your exhausted leader from the Ron Paul Revolution not too long ago. Has he – like the most of you – also been held back in his mental development so that he is so profoundly stupid that he needs someone to explain what libertarianism is to him? Really!!! GIVE ME A BREAK. That type of stupidity is an insult to intelligence itself. I think that libertarianism is stupid for a variety of reasons. Like socialism and communism, it is an ideology that sounds good but will never work in practice. The main issue I have with it is that it presupposed that libertarians are rational and are capable of making their own decisions intelligently using their good judgement and common sense. Yet as I study their actions, nowhere do I find any empirical evidence to bear this bear this out. All I see with libertarians’ efforts is a cluster fuck dealing with a disastrously mishandled situation or undertaking. A chaotic situation where everything seems to go wrong which is often caused by incompetence, communication failure, or a complex environment. God please help these poor ignorant souls for they know what they are trying to do. And since they will let no one else help them as they continue to show they cannot help themselves. Pathetic creatures…
