Look, if they think the government news is fake, DON'T REPORT IT. It's that simple. But that would mean the MSM would have to do the research and write the story themselves, and they're too lazy to do that.

I think the big point is the advance of this technology which will make it hard or impossible to know what is true. If some college can manipulate video like that. Imagine what others in government or in the news media can do as this technology advances.
The media loves it when someone in the government gives them news that reflects badly on Trump. They print it without thinking. When it's discovered to be fake, they simply blame their source, not themselves. They don't complain about that.
They're lazy. They want the government to write the stories for them. They only get pissed off when the story is favorable to Trump but doesn't contain any negatives.
