At some point these chronic realities do reach a breaking point/p> he world is going to end in 12 years unless the government takes action, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) said Monday at a Martin Luther King forum in New York City.
Heres an excerpt from her interview with Ta-Nehisi Coates:
And I think the part of it that is generational is that millennials and people, in Gen Z, and all these folks that come after us are looking up and were like, the world is gonna end in 12 years if we dont address climate change. Youre biggest issue, your biggest issue is how are going to pay for it? and like this is the war, this is our World War II. And I think for younger people looking at this are more like, how are we saying lets take it easy when 3,000 Americans died last year, how are we saying lets take it easy when the end person died from our cruel and unjust criminal justice system?
How are we saying take it easy, the America that were living in today is dystopian with people sleeping in their cars so they can work a second job without healthcare and were told to settle down. Its a fundamental separation between that fierce urgency of now, the why we cant wait that King spoke of. That at some point this chronic reality do reach a breaking point and I think for our generation it reached that, I wished I didnt have to be doing every post, but sometimes I just feel like people arent being held accountable. Until, we start pitching in and holding people accountable, Im just gonna let them have it.

Dystopian: person who imagines or foresees a state or society where there is great suffering or injustice.
Wonder who fed this numbskull this word?
The Democrat-Communist Party needs a new head nut case to pick up the mantle of Maxine Waters who is drifting into dementia and slowing down a bit. There are many candidates, but I think we have a winner here. She has it all, she's an ignoramus who actually thinks she is smart, and best of all she is an egomaniac who believes she has the power to turn the country socialist.
