When you’re 29-going-on18 and your critic is 76 years old, the pickings to go after him are easy. . “‘Who dis?’ is a common response to a text message from an unknown number. Among millennials in the smartphone generation, the phrase has morphed into a snarky tool for rejecting someone by framing their approach as a mistake.” (Daily Mail, Jan.11, 2019) “Who dis?” Joe Lieberman style is a 76-year-old retired U.S. senator, who says his party will lose voters in the long term if Ocasio-Cortez’s ideas become its bread and butter: ‘I certainly hope she’s not the future and I don’t believe she is’.” Ocasio-Cortez’s juvenile millennial-styled zinger trades on the arrogant assumption that she is the Democrats’ future and Lieberman only its doddering, old past. Does she forget that we remember vividly that it was aging lifetime socialist Bernie Sanders who groomed Ocasio-Cortez for her run for public office? The New York big-talking new rep is proof positive that it’s not only the older generations who suffer from memory loss. The know it all rookie was signed, sealed and delivered to congress by a man one year older than Lieberman. But among other things the rookie rep from New York can’t do is add. No point reminding the social media socialist darling that Lieberman retired in 2013 after serving some 24 long years in the U.S. Senate. When you can’t add, you can’t count either, so what Lieberman is pointing out about centrist Democrats goes sailing straight over Ocasio-Cortez’s airy head: “Lieberman said Thursday that she’s too ‘left-left’ to help the Democratic Party be a sustainable political powerhouse. (Daily Mail) “‘If you look at the majority of new Democrats in the House,’ he said, ‘they tend to be – I say, center-left ... and that is because they had to be center- left to win some of those competitive swing districts that they took from Republicans.’” AOC, a short-form Ocasio-Cortez designated for her own name is a big-talking socialist who wants steep tax hikes and socialized medicine, among other pie- in-the-sky socialist dreams. Twitter, dancing videos and publicity stunts notwithstanding, AOC is strictly a lot of flash in the pan. Poster Comment: 76-year-old Joe Lieberman Another asshole! He voted AGAINST the Constitution 96% of the time he slept through his tenure in the Senate. Cortez is just another homely bimbo with a face that looks like Mr. Ed. She looks like a horse or donkey braying. What she says, however impenetrably illogical, appeals too much to be a badly educated generation. At the moment, she is annoying. When a lot more of her peers show up in Congress, it won't be funny. It will be national suicide.
