The reports, both of which were commissioned by the committee, are based on troves of data that Facebook, Twitter, and Google handed over to the committee about the Russian campaign to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election and American politics generally. Much of the data has not previously been disclosed publicly. The Russians did not affect the American election. People who voted for Trump didn't do so because of something the Russians said or did. It's ridiculous. Nobody likes the Russians. America voted for Trump because America didn't like Hillary. Putin and Russia had no impact at all on the US election.
