Cohen appeared in federal court in Manhattan Thursday where he entered a guilty plea for misstatements to Congress in closed-door testimony last year about his contacts with Russians during the presidential campaign. Cohen has now promised to “put family and country first” by cooperating with prosecutors, becoming perhaps the most pivotal public witness against his former boss. Cohen’s earlier plea deal with federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York implicated President Trump in campaign finance felonies. Since then, Cohen has spent more than 70 hours in interviews with Mueller's team. The questioning has focused on contacts with Russians by Trump associates during the campaign, Trump’s business ties to Russia, obstruction of justice and talk of possible pardons. “The potential significance of Cohen’s cooperation is immense, for most high- powered business people with complex business interests, having one’s personal attorney become a star witness for the prosecution is the worst possible legal nightmare."” said Kendall Coffey, a former United States Attorney in Florida. We have known for some months that The Special Prosecutor's office, other federal, and state courts have had all of Mr. Cohen's records on the greasy toad's business. We have also know for some months that Mr. Cohen claimed that he was going to be putting the best interests of the American people and his family first. Now, we know that Mr. Cohen has made good on his promise. I find the timing interesting too. Just days following the submission of Dip- Shit's responses to Mueller's questions...Mikey the fixer signs the paperwork?? I looks like the Special Prosecutor got what he wanted.

Exploring a deal to build a Trump Tower in Moscow is not a crime. Exploring a deal to build a Trump Tower in Moscow from 1987 to January or June 2016 is not a crime. If Michael Cohen intentionally gave false statements to Federal investigators, he may have committed a crime. What felonies has horseface presented? Where is the beef in the nothing burger? What felonies did Stephanopoulos fantasize about? What, the article did not identify the supposed felonies? Dershowitz: I think the weakness of Mueller's substantive findings are suggested by the fact that he has to resort to false statement prosecutions. Which really shows that he didn't start with very much, that the very fact that he is conducting an investigation has created these crimes. These are not crimes that have been committed prior to his appointment. They are crimes that were committed as a result of his appointment, and that raises some questions about the role of special prosecutors in creating crimes, or creating opportunities for crimes to be committed. In the end, I don't think Muellere is going to come up with very much in terms of criminal conduct that existed before he was appointed, that is quite shocking.
“The problem is Mueller is straying away from his mandate to find crime, and he is now looking for political sin,” Dershowitz said to Hannity. “Building buildings in Moscow, using stolen material from [Julian] Assange — these are not crimes. He has no authority to be a roving commissioner to find political sins.
