Truly great disasters come like a thief in the night. How many foresaw Rome’s sacking in 410 A.D., her collapse 66 years later, WWI or WWII? As for today, how many see that the United States is at what some call a tipping point, what others may call a Fourth Turning? Whatever you call it, the American republic is in its last days. This is too scary for many to contemplate, but there’s something far scarier: playing ostrich and not being prepared for things to come.

The so-called Left, ever violent since its French Revolution birth and as power hungry as ever, wholly controls the culture: the media, mainstream and social; academia; and entertainment. This means it controls long-term politics, since the latter is downstream of culture. So is big business, mind you, which is why the Left controls most of it as well; this, of course, translates into funding.

Trump’s 2016 victory will not MAGA; it was merely a stay of execution, a prolonging of the inevitable. This should have been obvious in a country that could elect Barack Obama and then, like the Titanic having backed up to hit the iceberg again, re-elect him. If it wasn’t, it should be obvious now that the Democrats have seized the House in a Watergate-level rout.

The notion that this was a standard result for a president’s first midterm is only comforting when viewing matters in relative terms; that is, the “‘political spectrum’ always has a right and left side no matter how far ‘left’ that spectrum moves.”

The problem? Civilizational ebbs and flows (and collapses) are governed by absolutes, such as right and wrong; not relative qualities, such as right and left. Thinking otherwise is like supposing your transition from stage- one to stage-four cancer as a 70-year-old is like when you went from a bruised arm to a broken one as a 12-year-old because, well, both involve movement toward diminished states of health.

But this isn’t your grandfather’s Democrat Party. Voters this time empowered socialistic to socialist to closet-communist, sexual devolutionary, rabble- rousing, low-I.Q., no virtue, ignorant freaks who often encourage political violence by their Antifa-Brownshirt useful idiots. So it’s not your great- grandfather’s America, either.

Digging into the electoral numbers also tells a tale. Ninety percent of blacks, 79 percent of Jews, 77 percent of Asians, 69 percent of Hispanics and 59 percent of women voted Democrat — same as usual. Can we stop now with talk about “Blexit,” the “Walkaway” movement, how “Hispanics are natural conservatives,” how Jews are waking up to the Left’s anti-Semitism and all the other connedservative self-delusion? People vote in accordance with their emotional and philosophical foundations, and “You cannot reason a man out of a position he has not reasoned himself into,” as Jonathan Swift put it. Fooling oneself doesn’t help.

The voters are only getting worse, too, for three basic reasons: immigration, indoctrination and moral corruption. Let’s consider the first.

Demography is Destiny

Ever since the nation-rending Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 took effect in ’68, 85 to 90 percent of our immigrants have been Third-Worlders, and 70 to 90 percent of them support Democrats upon naturalization. President Lyndon B. Johnson signs the Immigtation and Nationality Act of 1965 at the base of the Statue of Liberty

This has caused a historic demographic shift (and attendant electoral one) that has seen our nation go from 85-plus percent white in 1965 to only 61 percent non-Hispanic white today. Let’s define further the political impact, using conservative figures.

We absorb approximately 1.3 million legal immigrants annually. If one million ultimately remain and are naturalized and 50 percent vote, and 80 percent of that group breaks Democrat, it means a net plus for Democrats of 300,000 voters every year and three million every decade.

The latter was Hillary Clinton’s purported 2016 popular-vote advantage.

This also translates into 15 million new Democrat voters after half a century, which was as much as Barack Obama’s 2008 and 2012 popular-vote margins combined. Of course, illegal migration and resultant amnesties would only increase these numbers, but are wholly unnecessary to effect this cultural and electoral annihilation. But not all un-American mentalities are imported.

We Can’t MAGA Unless We MAMA

“The philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next,” the apocryphal saying goes. Today’s brainwashing, not just by academia but also media and entertainment, is intense. Moreover, we can’t MAGA unless we MAMA — Make America Moral Again. As Ben Franklin put it, “Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.” Yet academia, media and, especially, entertainment subject each generation to an ever intensifying demoralization process.

So let’s crunch some more numbers. Between Trump’s 2016 victory and Election Day 2020, more than 10 million Americans will have died; mostly older, they’re a relatively conservative voting demographic. They will more or less be replaced, however, by approximately 16 million young people who’ll turn 18 during those years. Unlike their elders, though, they’ll disproportionately cast ballots for hardcore statists.

Given this ongoing immigration and indoctrination-enabled electoral- degradation process, is it now clearer why Republicans have lost the popular vote in six of the last seven presidential contests?

Note that during our entire pre-2000 history, Republican candidates won the presidency while losing the popular vote only twice. Now it has happened twice since 2000 alone, with the GOP capturing the popular vote in just one of its three victories (G.W. Bush, 2004). How long can we continue losing it while winning the Electoral College? We can’t pull inside straights forever.

Moreover, the cards won’t be there at all once Texas turns blue, and the warning signs are already evident. Rationalize all you want, but leftist nuts Andrew “Cracker State” Gillum, Irish Bob the Phony Mexican (O’Rourke) and Stacey “Suin’ Sore Loser” Abrams came close to winning in, respectively, Florida, Texas(!) and Georgia(!); Taliban bubblehead Kyrsten Sinema did win in Arizona. We’re further down the rabbit hole than you think, Alice.

Leftists are already talking about 2020, too, with a lineup resembling the bar scene in Star Wars (hat tip: Pat Buchanan). But the details don’t matter. Whatever the Democrat presidential ticket, it’ll be a ticket to Hell.

Not only is society drifting ever further from Truth (“leftwards”) for the aforementioned reasons, but consider the Democrats’ delusional perspective. Projecting, many of them have convinced themselves we’re Nazis, fascists, bigots and un-American, evil haters who have undermined the rule of law, created a constitutional crisis and who represent a clear and present danger to the republic — we’re “deplorables.” Believing this, wouldn’t you suppose these were desperate times that called for desperate measures?

When the Democrats seize the presidency and both legislative chambers — which they eventually will — they’ll have a justification for behaving as tyrannically as they fancy we have. They’ll see it as simply responding in kind to a precedent we set. You’ll have Antifa in power.

The more “conservative” Supreme Court won’t save us, either. With their power-lust and ends-justify-the-means mentality, the Left will discover that judicial supremacy isn’t in the Constitution (which it isn’t). Unlike connedservatives, though, they’ll actually act upon their epiphany and ignore inconvenient court rulings.

So these are our interesting times. If you’re now ready to split a vein or run for the Zoloft, hold on. There’s some good news here, too — if you want to call it that.

There no longer is an “American people”; there are peoples living in America. We’re balkanized not just racially, ethnically and religiously, but also ideologically, sexually and philosophically; we speak different languages, literally and figuratively. With open talk of open-borders socialism on one side and nationalism on the other, the Overton window is now so wide that each end occupies a different time zone. Frankly, many of us hate each other. If our union were a marriage, we’d have divorced long ago.

And I believe this will likely be the U.S.’s fate: dissolution. It may be precipitated by a calamity such as a severe economic collapse. If the federal government is then unable to meet its obligations (e.g., Social Security payments), the union-binding carrot will be gone. If the feds also seek to impose a tyrannical will, certain states may nullify their dictates, creating a further rift. One thing could then lead to another and….

Regardless, with the Left hurling fightin’ words (Nazi, etc.), fomenting unrest and attacking and bullying conservatives, the Cold Civil War is already afoot. Will it go hot? If so, when? For sure is that if the Left keeps pushing, it eventually will get pushback.

Of course, should this happen, we’d likely be vulnerable to enemies such as China. It all makes for a very unsure, but not uninteresting, future.

Yet if the republic does fall and dissolve, maybe, just perhaps, one of the resulting countries can be that shining city on a hill. But remember: It will be up to us to forge it, ever bearing in mind that we can’t MAGA unless we MAMA. This means instilling in ourselves virtue — including that of courage. For whatever terrors, traumas and tribulations lie ahead, we’ll need a lot of it for things to come.

The solution is the 14th amendment. Strip the citizenship form the non Americans here who are not real Americans. I'm a real American. These foreigners who I see working in convenicence stores are not real Americans. They are foreigners. Send them all home. Be ruthless with them.

If that's your solution, you have chosen defeat.

You're going to have to compromise. What is written above is basically true, and much of it will come to pass (though not the end game of dissolution - that will not happen). There are choices as to the specific outcome, and the Right can choose a relatively benign one if they don't go Hitlerian "No retreat".

I'm a person of the Right, you know, not the Left. But you hard Righties talk to me as though I were a Communist. If you cannot face unpleasant truths and adjust to realities, then yeah, you will lose. The old America is, like the plantation South, gone with the wind. The future America is being born. If you keep refighting Pickett's Charge, you will never win the past, and you will lose the future also.

There is a way forward, to preserve an America that is recognizable, but you guys are going to have to make some compromises with people like me, to have a viable set of alternatives. Right now your alternative is "My way or the highway!" and the response is "Ok, the highway - for YOU" and you're pushed out the door onto the highway and lose everything. You have correctly noted that you do not have the numbers or the trends to hold the future, and you're inexorably losing the present.

So, you can either compromise and change your mind to walk with me. Or you can just be plowed under and killed by the Communists.

You cannot have your old line Protestant America back. Your predecessors lost it because of their stupid decisions. Your choice is a Christian America, which means that you must ally with Catholics (i.e.: me), or a Communist America, in which case you need do nothing other than what you are already doing, and eventually they will devour you.

The heart of the issue is social welfare. You are going to have to accept the New Deal. There is no path to victory for you at all if you do not accept social welfare as a given, and turn the Right's considerable business acumen to the task of making social welfare EFFECTIVE, instead of trying to kill it off. You have lost that war. If you keep trying to fight it, you will lose the future too.

If you open your eyes and reconcile yourself to the fact that you are your brother's keeper, and then go about making social welfare work for the poor and working and middle class, then Right wing common sense can prevail. People want common sense.

But if you remain dug into the Maginot Line on social welfare, then the Left wins the war, and imposes all of the rest of their lunatic fringe ideas.

It's your choice. I'm a good bellwether. I obviously want to work with you and people like you. You want to despise me for being a Catholic, a proponent of social welfare, and a pragmatist. The article is right in repeating what I have said many times over: demography is destiny.

I know its sexist but its the white women vote that hurts the most. It cancels out the white male vote who make America strong and good. Women tend to vote as communist because everything is given to them so they do not understand how hard one really must work to get "Stuff". They feel government is just another sugar-daddy.

I believe its over. I think the rich do too because look at their selfishness of promoting socialism(crony Crapalism) and bring in cheap labor to make their money go farther. Going back to 2% rich 98% peon ie Oligarchy.

Women tend to vote as communist because everything is given to them

White women work hard. It's not "given to them".

They vote Democrat for two huge reasons, one of which is eventually going to devour the Republican.

The permanent reason is the Republicans anti-abortion stance. Women have abortion rights, and they are never, ever going to give them up. To women, abortion rights are exactly the same thing as guns to gun nuts. Gun nuts will never give up their gun rights, not ever, and are deaf to all arguments on the subject. Their minds are closed and there is no debate. If you're a gun- grabber in their eyes, gun nuts will never vote for you, even if you're with them on other things. With huge numbers of white women, abortion is exactly the same thing. And just as it does not matter to gun nuts what anybody else thinks or says on the matter, it does not matter to white women - large numbers of them, what anybody says on abortion. They have the right, and they are going to keep it. And that means that the Republican Party will always be in a precarious position, because there are more women than men.

The second issue is growing in importance, like a steadily rising wind, and it's not good for Republicans. Women are becoming more and more and more hardened against guns and gun rights. Sure, there are pro-gun women, but women are mothers, and as the senseless shootings, particularly school shootings, continue to rack up, and nothing is ever done, mothers - particularly suburban white ones - are becoming more and more militant regarding guns. Once again, Republicans stand on the other side of the issue.

With abortion, there was a steady white female wind blowing against Republicans. With the gun violence year after year after year, with babies getting shot at school, more and more women have had it. They will have gun control, and because the Republicans will never give it to them, they will therefore vote Democrat.

Trump irritates a lot of women also, so they come out and vote when he is on the ballot.

So, can Republicans give on abortion or on guns? No. Therefore, they're doomed unless they give on something else that can bring in other people to offset the loss of women.

My experience with Republicans on this website and elsewhere is that they are completely incapable of compromise on anything. And that doesn't work in a democracy.

You're losing the population, including your own women. You don't have to compromise on anything, you don't have to give - other than the reins of power: that's what you will be giving.

It would be better for the Republicans if they compromised on the matter of poverty relief, health care and education, accepted that it will be done through the government, and then apply Republican business savvy to making that more efficient and effective.

Instead, Republicans are still fighting the New Deal, they're fighting immigration, they're fighting gun control, they're fighting abortion. And they're losing this four-front war. Either they'll change their position on something to have enough voters, or they'll just plain lose and the Democrats will win on all things.

I guess people paying half their money isn't good enough for the thief I want someone else to do it snobs.

You call abortion a right. It is not a right it is murder.

It is murder. The Supreme Court said it's a right, so in the United States of America, it's a right.

60% of women say that abortion should be legal in all or most cases. The percentage of men is lower.

That means 40% don't think it should be. Of course all women do not support abortion. But 20% more do than don't. Women vote more regularly than men do, and there are more women than men in the electorate.

American elections are often won by margins of 2 or 3%.

Because of their stance on abortion, Republicans are always at a disadvantage. They have to make it up somewhere else.

People don't pay half their money. I am a high-bracket person in a high-tax state. Taxes (including sales taxes) amount to 39% of my income, not 50%. As I said elsewhere, the Republican objective in taking on social welfare is not to simply become the administrators of the current system. It is to provide the structures in a revised system that will raise people up and out of the need for social welfare. Educate and discipline people better, and you have less cost for welfare in the future, a lower costs for prison and police. Health care costs in a comprehensive system like France (which is the most similar to ours), are 40$ LESS than in our system. The Republican goal should be to take over social welfare in a manner that makes it effective for bringing people up and out of it, and that operates the health insurance system in a way that provides better care for less money. I am assuming all along that Republicans are better managers of businesses and organizations, when they put their minds to it, than Democrats are. And I am saying that to secure the political future - GIVEN THAT Republicans cannot concede the abortion issue, or guns, that what is left to them that they CAN really improve and get politically rewarded for it.

But I really do think it's hopeless, Republicans do not seem to be capable of thinking strategically. So they're going to fight a long losing battle down to defeat. It's unnecessary, but when we've reached the point where I'M the enemy, you guys are dead.

The Republican goal should be

"should be"

It is not.

In reality the republican goal has been to serve their masters and deliver the advantage to them.

That's true. And that's why the Republicans are dead if they don't change. Trump is the last hope for them, precisely because he's not completely beholden to his class.

The funny thing about the Republicans is that, because the Country Club lost control of the Presidential campaign, they fought a rearguard "Never Trump" action, causing the repeal of Obamacare to hangfire.

(Deeper truth: the Country Club FAVORED Obamacare, because it forced a trillion dollars through the profit mill of the insurance companies.)

Anyway, the game is over. That Hispanic woman from New York, Ocasio-whatever- the-heck, she is the face of the rising Democrat Left, and her message and image is pretty compelling.

The Right can try to play the game of personal destruction, but it's not going to work on an Ocasio, because she herself is irrelevant. It's a MOVEMENT, and the movement is not going to stop because a few of its visible figureheads are picked off.

I'm not a Republican for precisely all of those reasons. I'm not a Democrat for different reasons. As an Independent, I have voted either Independent (Ross Perot) or Republican, because the Democrats have been particularly irritating.

But the Republicans have become more irritating to me now than the Democrats. Ocasio is actually saying it straight and true and idealistically. The Republicans are...well...they're LF. Old. Bigoted. Dumb. Inflexible. Self- righteous. Uncharitable. They don't give a shit. They've been able to coast on power for so long they are dug in on every position, but they're losing the country.

If you lose me - a two-decade military veteran from the Heartland with a good education who has always voted for you for decades - if you turn me into an enemy, you really are sunk. They have. They're sunk. Women of my cadre are all Democrats, and the men more and more. The Republican couple on my block voted Democrat this time. Bankers. High end folks. Like you, they despise Trump, but they have become weary of the shootings and have started to care about gun control in a way they did not before. Same for the rock-solid Republican lawyer out in Chicago I know.

The Republican river is drying up for good. I've got the education, the experience, the foresight and the lack of partisanship to see very clearly what is happening. The Republicans are lost, and sinking fast. They don't want help. I've been slapped away enough. I'm not coming out for them anymore unless they give me something I want.

The Democrats are going to give universal health care. It's badly designed and deeply flawed, but it's better than the nothing the GOP offers. Advantage Democrats.

The Republicans cut taxes on the rich, but actually managed to RAISE taxes on the middle class in high tax states with the limits on deductibility, AND the economy is falling apart after two years. Advantage Democrats.

The Republicans are divided on immigration and, when they had all of the power, didn't put up the wall. So now the immigrants are flowing back in, and they vote (illegally) and their kids and grandkids vote (legally), and they break 3:1 Democrat. Advantage Democrats.

58% of the country supports abortion rights. 42% opposes them. I oppose them. If this were the only issue, the Democrats would always win. This is a permanent Democrat advantage. The Republicans have to offer something on some other front to make up for it.

The gun massacres keep happening, and mothers in particular become more and more anti-gun. Advantage Democrats.

Student debt is out of hand and crushing lives: advantage Democrats.

Evangelicals hate Catholics, and Catholics are the fastest-growing religious group: Advantage Democrats.

Oh, but I am from the Heartland. Michigan, as Heartland as Heartland gets. Michigan gave the margin to Trump and the GOP in 2016. Michigan is part of what gave the Democrats back the House in 2018. People in Michigan are neither bright red nor deep blue. They are purple, like me. Gotta say, you Republican jackasses are driving us bluer and bluer in droves. Lose people like me, and you’ve lost for good. And you’ve lost me. You have no ideas. You’re just nasty people moved by spite. And the rest of us outnumber you, and now we’re going to crush you. Bye bye.

Women will never give up abortion, and they are more than half of the electorate. They also favor gun control by widening margins. And they favor social welfare because they generally need it more than men do. Suburban women are shifting from Republican to Independent, and Independent to Democrat. Republicans are losing the country before our eyes. We only need to look in this website to see why. This is the face and voice of the Republican Party. Even the military is more Democrat than it was. Having been taunted for a long time in my earnest efforts to get Republicans to see the need for some sort of compromise, Ive given up on them. But I will stick around now, to taunt them about their every loss, to point out how their world is shrinking and falling apart because of their errors, arrogance and stupidity.

Ok you were from Michigan. Good for you. If you consider that the heartland then I guess it is.

Just a couple of weeks ago you were saying the Republicans were going to win and do all these great things.

You are all over the place,

It is funny that you want to join the baby kill party. Because I hurt your wee little feelings. Who cares you aren't going to swing anything. Connecticut has a bunch of liberal elitist snobs. Who you increasingly sound like. You just want a high income tax to keep the poor people down, by letting the middle man government take their cut and give them back crumbs.

Most women are against abortion. How many female members of your family are for abortion? I don't know of any females in my family that are for abortion. I can think of 9 off the top of my head that are against it. Maybe your family is just more pro infanticide than mine is. Or maybe your're just brainwashed.

Not that it matters what most of them want.

Right is right.

You seem to have head problems.

What happened between now and the election when you were all in. Oh yeah I hurt your little feelings about your pope you worship.

What happened was you and your fellow Republicans on this site.

Also, what happened was that when the final counts were in, the Democrats actually did have a very, very good night. The Republicans were repudiated in the House, and in state houses across the country.

And the stock market collapsed, demonstrating a third time under a third President that Republican economics are stupid and don't work.

Now, thing is, had the Republicans actually enacted Trump's legislation: repealing Obamacare and establishing border security, and backed Trump on Russiagate and supported him in ending the investigation, they would have won. But the Republicans themselves don't support Trump.

So, I look out there and see the Democrats as the stronger horse, marginally better on a lot of issues than the Republicans.

And then I see you and your ilk here on this site: the way you (don't) reason, the way you talk to people. And I realize that I have stuck with the wrong side for too long.

You won't back down on social welfare, and neither will I. And you're so nasty about it. That's what you people are: nasty, petty, small - and losing BECAUSE OF THAT.

In my reassessment of things, I'm coming out more and more opposed to you and yours. And you're making it so easy by being the way that you are. Who would WANT to stand in the trenches with you, fighting for the wrong causes?

You're like the Confederates and the Germans rolled up in a singularly unpleasant package. I'm finding Lincoln and FDR to be my allies, over against your kind.

Your policies are bad. Your personalities suck. And you are in a dwindling minority who cannot hold power and who will never regain it. Why, then, even try to understand you? What's in it for me? Nothing but abuse.

I'd rather be part of the victorious majority with people who treat me better, then be dug into spiderholes and lost causes with people who are nasty to me.

You believe yourself to be right. I believe myself to be right. I believe in compromise, to try to find common ground. You believe in...the stream of abuse and profanity you unleash because you're not getting your way.

That's repulsive, and makes it less and less likely, as the years roll on, that you ever will get your way. You know how the police treat minorities, and how people like GrandIsland and others here on the right think that's great, because they hate minorities? You're becoming the minorities, the rising majority hate you as much as you hate them. And I've lost my desire to defend you against them.

You're not going to like the future you built for yourselves. I will.

Most women are against abortion.

You're entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts. Pew research polling tells us that 60% of women support abortion on demand, and only 36% oppose it.

So no, women are pro-abortion by nearly a 2:1 margin.

The women YOU know oppose it. They, and you, are not representative of America. Yours is the view of a shrinking minority.

It is funny that you want to join the baby kill party.

Your party is the baby kill party. Republicans put Roe in place, and Casey. Republicans have controlled the Federal Judiciary continuously ever since.

And they have controlled the Presidency and both Houses of Congress for many of the years since then.

They have appointed enough Republican justices from Reagan onward to completely replace the Supreme Court.

And yet Roe stands. Because Republicans want it there.

Yours is the party of babykill.

The Democrats support abortion for the reasons they say. But Republicans, who established and extended abortion, SAY they oppose it.

Both parties are babykill parties. The Democrats say they support it because of liberty interests of women. The Republicans just lie through their teeth and say its bad, while making sure it stays in place.

You believe that you have this big club - abortion - and that it cancels everything else out. Trouble is, your own side is the source of abortion on demand. And your unwillingness to come clean on that simply shreds your credibility.

The voice of the Right: full of vulgarity, rage and stupidity. This is why you are losing, and will continue to lose.

People like me are winning, because we generally keep our heads. If we get mad, we calm down pretty quickly and turn back to rational thought. You guys on the Right get distempered and start flinging poo.

It makes you sound unhinged. Unhinged people should not be allowed to own guns.

So says the leftist who said redistribute American taxes worldwide.

So says the leftist who said murder all the right wingers.

The one who said die in a hole.

The mentally ill person who talks about raising lizards and rats from the dead.

You're not winning anything you are a loser.

You catholics like to lie a lot. Or at least you do. Scalia, Thomas, Reinquest, Kavanaugh, Alito are all pro life. The democrats are all pro abortion.

Scalia and Rehnquist are dead.

And Reagan also appointed O'Connor and Kennedy - two Republicans who extended Roe with Casey.

HW Bush appointed Souter, who was not pro-life.

W Bush tried to appoint Harriet Myers, a pro-choice feminist, and he did appoint Roberts, who upheld Obamacare with its abortion funding.

You go on insulting me with vulgarity, but it's your party that gave us abortion, and you're party that extended it, and your party that extended public funding for it, and your party that has duped you.

Truth is, the Republican leadership is pro-choice. They throw sops to rubes like you - boob bait for Bubbas - and you eat it up and support them.

And you pretend that the Democrats did it. It's comically blind.

Do faggots who cheat on their wife with other men and get aids. Do they go to Heaven or Hell?

Your first sentence fragment is incomprehensible.

As to your second, the question, nobody goes to Heaven or Hell. When people die, they go into Sheol, to Gan Eden or Gehenna. After the resurrection, they go to judgment, and thence to the City of God, or into the Lake of Fire, or are left outside in darkness.

As to whether an adulterous homosexual goes into Gehenna or Gan Eden at death, that would be a matter of the degree to which he had forgiven others their sins against him. Those who forgive greatly are greatly forgiven. Those who do not forgive are not forgiven, and must pay for their sins in Gehenna.

How long that lasts is unrevealed.

Final judgment is the same: deceit and sexual immorality are deadly sins that, if unforgiven, can earn the Lake of Fire. Whether they are forgiven or not is a function of forgiveness in life and payment in Gehenna, so the timing of the end of the world has an effect on this answer.
