Waste of Time: An announcement by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday that there is “tremendous pressure” to revisit “climate change” when Democrats take over control of the chamber in January proves again that the Democratic Party is not interested in actually leading. Rather, the party seems to be preparing to use the next two years ahead of the 2020 elections to engage in Left-wing activism and investigating POTUS Donald Trump.
GlobalWarming and ClimateChange “was urgent in 2007. It’s more urgent now,” Pelosi told reporters at a press conference Thursday.
Pelosi said she is planning to ask her lunatic caucus for their support in reviving a defunct House select committee on global warming while touting the Democrats’ plan for a $1 trillion infrastructure bill as a way to address the “climate crisis” (POTUS Trump, by comparison, has proposed using $200 billion in federal dollars to spur $1.5 trillion in investment spending on infrastructure from state governments and private firms — a much smaller hit to the federal deficit).
“There is tremendous pressure for us to return to that place where the climate issue is preeminent,” Pelosi said of plans to revive the committee.
There may be pressure on Democrats from their lunatic base, but there is no pressure from the American public in general. GlobalWarming ClimateChange wasn’t even a top-10 concern among voters heading into the 2018 midterms.
But here come Nancy Pelosi and her Democrat majority ready to waste time, money, and resources to ‘address’ an ‘issue’ that few Americans believe in or care about.
