I went to vote today at 1230 in the Clear Lake area of Houston. The polls open at 1300. This is the first time in my memory that they have been open on a Sunday. The line was around the building and down the block. It took over 40 minutes to get into the building. They had twice as many voting machines as usual. I talked to a few all came there after church. I figure those will be republican votes. Truly a massive turn out.
I'm not sure early voters are an indication of anything because they all tend to be the "dedicated party type" of voters. They are going to vote for their party creature regardless of what they say or do during the campaign. This holds true for both the Dims and the alleged Republicans.
The ones that determine the elections are the occasional voters who can and will vote for either or both parties if given a chance AND if they decide to vote this particular election.
Since they tend to vote in both directions, nobody can really guess what they are going to do,or how many of them will show up to vote.
