Bet this gets more bumps than his vanity threads.
(Editors Note) This thread was formerly called Mudbutt sucks the big one thread.
I changed the title. Now you can debate if it is wisdom or unwisdom.
I've been doing great, but works been kickin' my butt and then last weekend I went down to Nags Head Thursday thru Sunday and barely got on the internet the whole time. Hope you are doing well, too...I honestly believe 2010 is gonna be a great year in American politics as the RAT-bastards get their hats handed to them in November. Looks like my buddy (and Congresscritter) Eric Cantor may end up being the next Speaker-of-the-House come January of 2011...LOL!!
I can't wait to WHUP some ObamaNation arse...MUD

We'll see, my friend...I think we need some new blood at the top of the new Republican-dominated Congress of 2011 (although I DO like John Boehner)...MUD

Boehner is 'new blood at the top' Mud. hastert and delay positively HATED HIM. He had a chairmanship due to seniority, not because they liked him.
He's never taken a single earmark. That alone gets my support. And he's a deficit hawk. And he's done a great job in a almost impossible position, given the way the House is structured in favor of the Majority Party.
my anti groupie can't get through life without me.
Boehner became Minority leader when his previous position of MAJORITY leader was filled by a democrat.

Better watch yourself. Now that we've got Socialized Medicine with Death Panels you'd probably be used for spare parts - assuming you've got any good ones - if you were to have an accident.

I remember the good old days when he'd only post during his "work" hours.

Watch what I'm tellin' ya, ol' man...I know folks in the know...I like boehner, too, but he will become an elder Statesman and move over to help in the takeover of the Senate, imho...

I like Boehner a lot, my friend, and I got to know him before he was even all that important...but he was part of the Minority party under Pelosi and that ain't an image we want to attract the TeaPartiers HOO realize it ain't only the RATS who've been screwing up, but also the RINOS/non-ReaganConservatives!!
Plus, he will be America's FIRST Jewish Speaker-of-the-House (another GOP milestone)...MUD
BTW...do you know HOO's running against Congresscritter Bobby Scott in November?!

Boehner will be the next House Speaker. He's earned it. Fact is he's done a very good job in a very bad position, given the House rules related to the Minority Party.

I don't care what he does on Saturday's Mud. I think you know religious beliefs are irrelevant to me. Others focus on that nonsense (my opinion). Not me. Just dont give a damn bout that.
The Tea Party types will vote GOP this time around. If in the next two years they don't get what they want, they'll vote with their feet...maybe some third party types. They will support the GOP nominee for President in 2012 in large numbers, I'm certain of that.
I'm unfamiliar with Bobby Scott. Who and what?

Sun's out now, but still shockingly cold compared to the past week. I'm just hoping its not too muddy tomorrow, got three trees to take down and cut up for firewood next fall.

No one defined "trees". lolol
I guess we are lucky, in most of California with our lack of humidity, it takes about one summer in full sun to dry out most types of wood cut in fireplace lengths adequately.
We just had a 40 year old Monterey Pine put on the ground, delimbed with the 3.5 foot diameter trunk cut into 2 foot lengths and the stump ground down. 1000 bucks and it took them less than five hours. We will definitely use the wood splitter on this one. And cut up the limbs on our own.
To cut the big limbs, chip and haul away the trash they wanted 750 dollars more.
Unless you have the wood quartered, no longer than 12 inches, no rain, 100% sun exposure, and a good steady wind, nothing you cut down east of the Mississippi is going to season in 9 mos...and if it's oak even those conditions aren't going to help...

I wouldn't even dare burn pine here...costs a fortune to get the chimney cleaned after a season of burning it...

We use it as a starter and then burn oak or some other hard wood. We have a relatively low pitch on the roof so getting up there and cleaning it is not too tough or dangerous.

We had a similar tree in our yard cut down and chopped up. A Mexican did it for 100 dollars.
I use the old fashioned method...newspaper under a crisscross set up with smaller wood on bottom and larger on top...
I have so much goddam wood spread out all over my back...I just tossed about a quarter chord from one place because it was so rotted and covered with 'shrooms...

We have a lot of trees on the property here. I've not taken many since we put the front lawn in nine years ago. Figure with whats already down, and what I need to take down (dead ones) I can get at least two cords cut the way I want, not the way most of the firewood outlets want to sell me.
We went through almost four cords this past winter, so gotta restock now and let it season as much as it can between now and next fall.

How do you start your fires, Boof? Huff out that Crown Royal breath over a match and into the box?

I forgot to mention the tree was 10 feet from a house with limbs over the house. We don't have a cherry picker or man lift, or a 7500 dollar stump grinder and there was pasture board fencing on the other side. They dropped it without touching a thing.
But since you seem unemployed, why didn't you do it for free?
I just went down Frates Rd where they filmed the race scene from American Graffitti.
In the ten years that California's pop has "declined", they have built a golf course and retirement community plus one other subdivision on the north side which has been all sold out and inhabited for at least six years. And on the southwest end towards Lakeville going to Petaluma a huge housing subdivision was just completed with still a few for sale.
There is only about 25% of the land along that road not developed. There's too many stop lights for a race scene now. Sniff, sniff.
