Former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palins son, Track, will reportedly spend a year in custody after being arrested on domestic violence charges for the third time in recent years.
A judge ruled Wednesday that the 29-year-old must report to a halfway house by the end of October following allegations that he hit a woman on the head on Friday, the Associated Press reported.
According to the outlet, the Department of Corrections will determine whether Track Palin will serve time at the institution or in jail. Anchorage District Attorney Richard Allen said it is unlikely he will receive jail time.

Anchorage District Court Judge David Wallace told Track Palin on Wednesday that he was disqualified from a therapeutic program for veterans after violating conditions of a plea agreement stemming from a separate assault case.
Palin was taken into custody by Alaska State Troopers on Friday night after authorities received a call about a disturbance at a residence in Wasilla. State troopers who arrived on the scene claimed Track Palin assaulted an acquaintance at his residence, according to an online dispatch.
Track Palin also reportedly took a phone belonging to the acquaintance, whose identity has not yet been revealed, and prevented her from contacting the police, according to the dispatch.
He reportedly has since been told to stay away from the alleged victim's home and workplace, and has been instructed to only communicate with her via writing.
Track Palin was arrested last December after he allegedly beat his father at his parents home.
He was also arrested in January 2016 on domestic violence and weapons charges after allegedly hitting his girlfriend.
Good! He needs to be in a jail cell, not a halfway house.
In the entire history of the world, the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.
Funny how Clinton, Biden, Kennedy and Schumer relatives never seem to be held to account, isn't it?
Ironical and hypocritical for sure, but not really funny.
Kinda like the media being all OVER the recent SC appointee for imaginary sexual assault, while never even whispering the names "Kennedy","Franken",or "Clinton".
