Someone in the city put my name in a database saying I am a militia member. Well I am not and never have been. This has caused me some problems. They also have it in their database that my wife is militia. Well I have seen the govt flyers that say militia is terrorists. So basically they are saying I am a terrorist. I am looking to sue the city for this defamation and slander. It has also caused the police to harrass me and not file charges in cases that I wished to persue. The prosecutor in a case I am involved in has even told my attorney that I am a militia member. I am serious about this. So if there are any attorneys out there. To: All (#0) The Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) is a group that combines the resources of federal, state, and local agencies to help identify terrorist plots, so they can be thwarted. Recently, Alex Jones broke the story about a MIAC report that is supposedly intended to aid in that endeavor. What law is being violated that entitles you to something. Why don't you politely and diligently seek who's in charge of this list and calmly tell them, in person, that you and your wife aren't militia members and don't support it and that you shouldn't be on this list? I thought her comments were - just so odd- and she was obviously trying to stir up nonesense. That seems to be her MO... Anyway- i understand why you would be frustrated about this.. To: A K A Stone (#0) (Edited) I say this in all seriousness, have you contacted the ACLU? There are several issues here...privacy...freedom of association...libel...it goes on... Don't be intimidated into thinking that the ACLU wouldn't defend you. If you have a B/R case they'll take it in a heartbeat. Also, I don't know what FOI laws Ohio has but if your name went into a government database, it seems to me that if Ohio has a FOI statute then you could compel production of any documents that exist that put your name there.
