“I’m not going to ruin Judge [Brett] Kavanaugh’s life over this,” US Senator Lindsey Graham told Fox News’s Chris Wallace on September 23.

“How much evidence is required to destroy a person’s life?” conservative columnist Marc A. Thiessen asked in the Washington Post a few days earlier, weighing in on the same controversy.

“Ruin?” “Destroy?” Really?

Kavanaugh stands accused of, as a high school student, attempting to rape another high school student.

Did he do that? I don’t know. You probably don’t know either,  nor do the 100 US Senators now weighing his confirmation.

Decades after the alleged incident, only a few people could know. It really comes down to whether one believes the accuser and those who say they were there or that she disclosed details to them, or whether one believes Kavanaugh and those who vouch for him.

I’m not going to express an opinion on the accusation, because I’m not qualified to offer anything but a gut feeling based on watching from afar.  Those 100 Senators, who really don’t have any choice but to express their opinions with their votes, are going to vote with their parties or on their own gut feelings as well.

But the hype … wow. In what universe does not getting a gig as one of the nine most powerful judges in the United States equate to having one’s life “ruined” or “destroyed?”

Brett Kavanaugh knocks down $220,600 per year as a judge on the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. Absent impeachment proceedings, his job is safe, and even assuming such proceedings a 2/3 US Senate vote to convict on the basis of a decades-old accusation not related to corruption is extraordinarily unlikely.

If he is somehow forced or pressured off the bench, he’s a guy with options.  He’s a graduate of exclusive schools (Georgetown Prep and Yale) and a former partner at a $3 billion law firm (Kirkland & Ellis).

If he’s not confirmed, he’ll command five- and six-figure speaking fees, large book advances, talking head “analysis” gigs on cable news shows, etc. He could probably build a lucrative new career doing nothing but whining to conservatives about how he was robbed of a SCOTUS position.

Don’t worry too much for Brett Kavanaugh. He’s going to be fine.

Given his expansive views of government power to surveil, confine, and interrogate both Americans and foreigners, though, the rest of us might end up regretting his confirmation.

The broad claims devastation over something that didn't happen 35 years ago, according to the witnesses SHE specified.

This is real ruining, in public, of a good man and she's complaining the hearing room is too big and so as a StrongIndependentBraveFierceWomyn she may chicken out.

Show up, swear in or fvck off, hag. Enough of this leftist bullshit.
Call the vote, Grassley, get him confirmed and seated or you GOPussies are done forever.

No. It's SHE who will pull that Anita Hill (another liar) bullshit for the rest of her useless life.
Kavanaugh has honor and self-respect.

REALITY CHECK

Blasey Ford letter to Feinstein UNREDACTED

July 30 2018

CONFIDENTIAL

Senator Dianne Feinstein

Dear Senator Feinstein:

I am writing with information relevant in evaluating the current nominee to the Supreme Court.

As a constituent, I expect that you will maintain this as confidential until we have further opportunity to speak.

Brett Kavanaugh physically and sexually assaulted me during high school in the early 1980's. He conducted these acts with the assistance of his close friend, Mark G. Judge. Both were 1-2 years older than me and students at a local private school. The assault occurred in a suburban Maryland area home at a gathering that included me and four others. Kavanaugh physically pushed me into a bedroom as I was headed for a bathroom up a short stair well from the living room. They locked the door and played loud music precluding any successful attempt to yell for help. Kavanaugh was on top of me while laughing with Judge, who periodically jumped onto Kavanaugh. They both laughed as Kavanaugh tried to disrobe me in their highly inebriated state. With Kavanaugh's hand over my mouth, I feared he may inadvertently kill me. From across the room a very drunken Judge said mixed words to Kavanaugh ranging from "go for it" to "stop." At one point when Judge jumped onto the bed, the weight on me was substantial. The pile toppled, and the two scrapped with each other. After a few attempts to get away, I was able to take this opportune moment to get up and run across to a hallway bathroom. I locked the bathroom door behind me. Both loudly stumbled down the stair well at which point other persons at the house were talking with them. I exited the bathroom, ran outside ofthe house and went home.

I have not knowingly seen Kavanaugh since the assault. I did see Mark Judge once at the Potomac Village Safeway, where he was extremely uncomfortable seeing me.

I have received medical treatment regarding the assault. On July 6, I notified my local government representative to ask them how to proceed with sharing this information. It is upsetting to discuss sexual assault and its repercussions, yet I felt guilty and compelled as a citizen about the idea of not saying anything.

I am available to speak further should you wish to discuss. I am currently vacationing in the mid-Atlantic until Autust 7th and will be in California after August 10th.

In confidence,

Christine Blasey [nolu chan - typed, not a signature]

Judge Kavanaugh serves during a period of good behavior. He can only be impeached and removed from the bench for bad behavior while in office. Allegations dating to before he entered his office are not applicable.

Article III, excerpt: "The judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behavior...."

Given the abuse of process by the unethical and unprincipled Democratic socialists, all but this thuggish element might end up rejoicing at Kavanaugh's confirmation, and celebrating a victory over the thuggish Democratic socialist abuse of process.

After seeing Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas, Robert Bork and others subjected to Democratic socialist thuggery and abuse of process, and victimized solely in the cause of resistance to their judicial philosophy, rather than their qualifications to hold the office involved, it is questionable that the best qualified candidates will be willing to subject themselves in the future to being victimized by the thuggish socialist democrats and their organized abuse of the nomination process.

This is not simply a case of him being appointed to the USSC or not, and it's not about money. If the Congress declined to nominate him based on a mundane issue about his professional qualifications, then yes, Kavanaugh would have no claim and no damage.

But it's not. His legal and professional qualifications are adequate. It's about whether he rightly deserved having his personal reputation destroyed in the national spotlight because 1 person has made an allegation with no evidence and cannot be proved or corroborated by any of her own witnesses. Having a reputation smeared like this doesn't go away when the nomination process is complete, whether with or without an appointment to the USSC. Jimmy Kimmel even told his audience that Kavanaugh's penis should be cut off. How does that NOT qualify as damage?

This is really about Donald Trump. If Hillary were prez and had appointed him, he'd have no issues.

They author above is completely off base.

Author: Thomas L. Knapp:

"Kavanaugh stands accused of, as a high school student, attempting to rape another high school student.

"Did he do that? I don’t know...Don’t worry too much for Brett Kavanaugh. He’s going to be fine."

And I don't know whether Thomas L. Knapp is a pedophile, camel-humper, and murderer. And if his legs were broken tomorrow and he was knee-capped, I'm sure Knapp would still be "fine" because he could then use a wheelchair.

THE point Knapp is attempting to make makes a mockery of ANY semblance of Constitutional Rights, due process, and statute of limitations. Mostly, Knapp and Democrats are trying to eliminate Common Sense and Truth from the public arena.

These highly partisan speculation and theatrics, based on ZERO proof, innuendo and obvious LIES by 'The Resistance' should NEVER have been humored (as have Grassley and the GOP panel of Globalist-Puppets.)

And the author, Thomas L. Knapp knows all that. Yet he -- like the entire Leftist-Dem goon-squad -- are allowed to perpetuate this serial slander with his own libel and defamation.

ANYONE can sling smears, lies and BS. Perjury is a CRIME. BUT NOT WITH IMPUNITY. Questions: WHO is libel in this case? Are unethical political-assassins (the Dem-MSM and Dem Party) subject to libel and defamation laws?

Author: Thomas L. Knapp:

"But the hype … wow. In what universe does not getting a gig as one of the nine most powerful judges in the United States equate to having one’s life 'ruined' or 'destroyed?'"

"HYPE"??

Why worry too much for Tommy Knapp were his head to be mistaken for a baseball? Or about his subsequent brain damage, kneecap damage and broken back. What, with the inventions of wheel-chairs and robotics, I can't see how any of that would "ruin" HIS life either.

If Kavanaugh were to be barred from the USSC by Congress because of these positions, that would be fine. But the crucifixion he's getting isn't because of that. Jesus Christ or Mother Theresa would be character assassinated just as much as Kavanaugh is.

Yes, but Truth doesn't matter for Democrats. They are after all "The Resistance", right? This broad and any subsequent Liars/Perjurers should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Remember the ethic these gutter-rats live by: "BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY".

Democrat-Terrorists are sending their message: good, honest patriotic men/women BEWARE!! With absolute impunity, the Democrats Smear Machine can and will do ANYTHING to murder a Republican/Conservative reputation, good name, family's rep and peace of mind ESPECIALLY making ANY person who wants to be a Public Servant who promote and advances the US Constitution NOT run.

This is real ruining, in public, of a good man and she's complaining the hearing room is too big and so as a StrongIndependentBraveFierceWomyn she may chicken out.

Great point. Is that not insane?? And I mean clinically insane. As are the Dems/Terrorists.

Show up, swear in or fvck off, hag. Enough of this leftist bullshit. Call the vote, Grassley, get him confirmed and seated or you GOPussies are done forever.

AMEN! (unfortunately, the GOPe seated only Globalists on this committer who DGAS if the Republicans lose.)

At the least, K and his family will be scarred (AND lives continue to be threatened), his sterling rep tarnished and challenged for the rest of his life.

Democrats and Media are gangstas. Grassley, Collins, Flake, Cornyn etal. are purposely AIDING AND ABETTING. Make no mistake about it. This is their opportunity to stick it to Trump AND We, the People/Trump voters.

THIS entire chapter is a Cautionary Tale, intended to intimidate, discourage, and wipe out any future conservatives who consider higher office/judiciary.

The damage the Democrat-Media Terrorists are inflicting upon America may be irreparable if not rejected and dismissed ASAP.

Should these shams and charade be enabled and allowed to continue unabated and the Deep State/Left prevails as they continue to be given license to lie, destroy the process, and most of all, perform their Scorched Earth op, this nation is finished. (And CW2 gets MUCH hotter).

Yes...and note that ONLY Democrats look at money as some kind of "salve" or compensation. For THEM is is all that matters, so they assume everyone else thinks the same way.

Since we know that all Dems are whores who sold out all principles and morals, intangible things like virtues -- honor, integrity, and self-respect -- are dismissed as having any value at all. That's because Democrats don't have to worry about losing them, period.

THIS entire chapter is a Cautionary Tale,

This entire chapter is a badly acted and scripted soap opera.

“Truth is treason in the empire of lies.” - Ron Paul

Government is in the last resort the employment of armed men, of policemen, gendarmes, soldiers, prison guards, and hangmen.
The essential feature of government is the enforcement of its decrees by beating, killing, and imprisoning.
Those who are asking for more government interference are asking ultimately for more compulsion and less freedom.
