ABC late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel took the stage on Tuesday and jokingly suggested that his “compromise” to the battle of Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination is to chop off the judge’s “pesky penis,” should he be confirmed. Kimmel launched into the Kavanaugh rancor midway through his monologue, noting a New Yorker article published over the weekend in which Deborah Ramirez alleged that as a drunken Yale University freshman, Brett Kavanaugh “exposed himself at a drunken dormitory party.” Ramirez claimed she had “significant gaps in her memories” regarding the alleged encounter. Ramirez’s college best friend also told the paper she “never heard of” the incident in question. Jimmy Kimmel cut to a clip of Judge Kavanaugh and his wife’s Fox News interview on Monday, in which the Supreme Court nominee called allegations from Christine Blasey Ford false and explained that he was a virgin in high school and college. Thank you for admitting that,” Kimmel said in response to the Kavanaugh clip. “He was a virgin until many years after. So if he doesn’t get to be on the Supreme Court, maybe he’ll be The Bachelor.” Kavanaugh has reportedly produced calendars from 1982, which purportedly prove he was out of town during the time in which Ford says he attempted to grope her at a house party. “What 17-year-old keeps calendars of his social engagements?” Kimmel asked. “No wonder he was a virgin.” Kimmel concluded his Kavanaugh monologue with a gruesome suggestion. “Hear me out on this,” Kimmel began “So Kavanaugh gets confirmed to the Supreme Court, OK? Well, in return we get to cut that pesky penis of his off in front of everyone.”

Late night talk shows are no longer about entertainment. In fact,entertainment isn't even a side issue,and is only used as a platform to allow idiot musicians and actors to spout propaganda they think will help their careers. Doofus Dave Letterman started this crap,but I quit watching late-night tv when Leno left.
In the entire history of the world,the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.
Absolutely! Late night "comedians" have not been entertainers since Leno and Carson. Both those guys knew better than to piss off potentially half the audience and skewered bot sides of the political spectrum, Carson especially. I sill watch Johnny on the weekends, he's on one of the oldies TV channels - what a class act! Those who host the shows now are paid by the DNC to spout off their talking points. I didn't think Letterman was quite as bad.

It would seem reasonable that the producers of the late-night shows have a very firm grasp of the demographics of their audiences. It is doubtful that "potentially half" of their audience would be "pissed-off" by subject matter that tend to be "left-of-center" - in fact I'd bet that the vast majority of their viewers identify as being more "progressive" than "conservative". Additionally, the producers can follow the logic of "The King of All Media" (From the Movie "Private Parts"): Researcher: The average radio listener listens for eighteen minutes. The average Howard Stern fan listens for - are you ready for this? - an hour and twenty minutes. Pig Vomit: How can that be? Researcher: Answer most commonly given? "I want to see what he'll say next." Pig Vomit: Okay, fine. But what about the people who hate Stern? Researcher: Good point. The average Stern hater listens for two and a half hours a day. Pig Vomit: But... if they hate him, why do they listen? Researcher: Most common answer? "I want to see what he'll say next." I'd say the "Late Night Talk Shows" know exactly what they're doing and are successfully delivering the numbers their advertisers demand. WNnnnnBC
While Kavanaugh as a public figure at this point can probably be insulted and criticized without any legal consequences, calling for his physical mutilation, it seems to me, would not or should not be covered. Kavanaugh should sue this guy and his network for an adequate number of millions of dollars for publicly calling for him to be subjected to severe bodily injury.
Especially since there are most likely at least a couple of nutjobs who will take Kimmel seriously.
