She was met with raucous applause from the young audience, and a man can be heard saying, “That’s crazy that the kids get so excited about that.” “This is what we need to do: when you go back home, you talk to your mom, your dad, your aunt, grandma, sisters, anybody over the age of 18 that can vote — first you need to ask your parents to vote because if they don’t vote, then we can’t kick out Trump,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “Are you going to tell your parents to vote?” Ocasio-Cortez, a democratic socialist, asked the young crowd.
