I know a few friends that have and they have some jailhouse stories.
I heard one today: friend and rich man's son got locked up together for DUI or something like that when they were young. Rich man's son wasn't in there for ten minutes when he started crying. Rich man's son was out in two hours. My buddy was stuck there for 3 days.
I did several years ago because I refused to admit to a minor offense. So I spent 3 days in the county jail. The food was edible, but not much more. The worst things were they gave you mats for sleeping, but they were worse than you would take on a camping trip. Also there was annoying chatter all night long.
The funniest thing in there is how all the black people called everyone "nigger." They called this to each other, black people on TV, and even white people on TV.

Back when I was in college (1984) I was in a band that rented a warehouse space for rehearsals. We decided to throw a kegger and invited five other bands to play - we had built a stage, lights, the whole nine yards.
Needless to say, the place was packed to the rafters with mostly college-age kids.
As it turns out, some of the local bars (this was a small town) noticed that their establishments weren't doing the usual lucrative Saturday night business. One of them heard about the bash and called the cops - and we were busted - had to shut down the party and they hauled the "ringleaders" (me and the guitarist/singer Matt) off to the pokey.
Spent about six hours there - then some of our "fans" bailed us out.
We were later charged with misdemeanor selling alcohol without a license - fined $90 each.
" I just found out he passed on June of this year. "
Yeah. At least 8 from " Blues Brothers " movie have passed : Matt Murphy, Cab Calloway, John Belushi, Carrie Fisher, James Brown, John Candy, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin. seems like there was more, but I cannot think of who I am missing.
