After avoiding a reckless driver, our member Joyce thought the worst was over. She soon found out the worst was just beginning. From phone calls with police detectives, to answering her door with a SWAT team gun directed at her face, Joyce had to face the ugly side of our criminal justice system. Let's take "Joyce" at her word -- she put her weapon on her lap and backed up and drove around the other person when she approached and started to get close.
So, how did the other person know she had a weapon?

Well, you need to argue with the DA, and the members of the Grand Jury. They returned a No Bill, charges were dropped. They were privy to more evidence than you are.
You should go to them and tell them that you are " misterwhite ", that you are infallible, and that they are FOS !!

I guess that would help you to explain the over reaction of the Swat Team being sent against a elderly " Bonnie Parker ". A Swat Team ? 8 Officers ? Really ?? I guess they did not have any kids Kool aide stands to raid that day. :)
I would guess that if they needed to arrest some MS 13 members, they would need to call in the 82nd Airborne Division, with a Squadron of A-10 Warthogs to back them up. LOL

Very possible it was seen while she pulled it out and transferred it to her lap.
At this point in the narrative, there's no dispute that it's a case of road rage, and if the other driver stopped her for a confrontation, it's already established who the aggressor is, regardless of the alleged traffic offense of running a stop sign.

She said she did that when the other person got out of her car. When that person started to approach her car she backed up then drove around her. I don't see how the other person could have seen her weapon.
Unless, of course, she held it up as if to say, "Don't fuck with me. I'm armed." Which is exactly what I think this short-tempered woman did.

She welcomed the confrontation and the opportunity to give the other driver a piece of her mind for having the audacity to pull out in front of her -- knowing she had weapon in her lap.
They would identify themselves as an armed police officer and would instruct the other person to get back in their car. For starters.
Without drawing a weapon? Without pointing it at the unidentified person? All after the person has apparently demonstrated a desire to be confrontational by stopping in traffic?
And instruct them to get back in their car where this hostile person may have a weapon?

Or maybe you clued together from the events described that there is a high likelihood that the "victim" here you are defending had some relationship ties to law enforcement. That would explain the running of the stop sign, I guess, as well as the road rage and how there must have been some lingering, active force at the police department to push this case through to the point where a SWAT raid was conducted some 2 months later. Yes, there had to be some inside pressure there, right?? Someone was on a power trip and couldn't leave well enough alone for getting honked at for 2 straight months. Yeah, sounds just like a power-tripping corrupt cop.

Correct. Assuming the individual follows the instructions given to them by an identified law enforcement officer.

Sure. It's done all the time. Certainly in every police encounter I've seen where the person is pulled over then gets out of the car. They're told to get back into the car.
