California Proposition 187 was on the November 8, 1994, general election ballot in California as an initiated state statute, where it was approved.[1] The stated purpose of Proposition 187 was to make immigrants residing in the country without legal permission ineligible for public benefits. The California Legislative Analyst's Office estimated that the measure would save the state about $200 million per year.[2] The day after Proposition 187 was approved by the state's voters, several groups filed federal lawsuits against it, including the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF), the League of Latin American Citizens (LULAC), and the ACLU. Three days after Proposition 187 was approved, on November 11, federal district court judge Matthew Byrne issued a temporary injunction against the state of California, forbidding the enforcement of Prop 187. Federal judge Marianna Pfaelzer then issued a permanent injunction, pending a trial. The state of California asked in 1997 that the case be dismissed and the injunction dropped, on the grounds that federal immigration law had changed in the meantime. The federal court denied the request that the case be dismissed. The state of California did not appeal that decision, leaving the permanent injunction standing. The case did not proceed to trial.[3] The ballot title was as follows: The measure proposed to make immigrants residing in the country without legal permission ineligible for public social services, public health care services (except emergency services required under federal law), and public education at elementary, secondary, and post-secondary levels. The measure proposed requiring various state and local agencies to report persons suspected of residing in the country without legal permission to the California Attorney General and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service. The measure proposed requiring the California Attorney General to transmit reports to Immigration and Naturalization Service and to maintain records of such reports. The measure also proposed making it a felony to manufacture, distribute, sell or use false citizenship or residence documents.[4] The fiscal estimate provided by the California Legislative Analyst's Office noted the following:[4] Poster Comment: The year, 1994. The State of CA refused to defend the I&R result to end funding the Illegal Invaders. These FREE STUFF numbers are now in the HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS.

In what should have been enacted as the Law of the Land, one liberal-Left Dem Judge temporarily nullified 5,063,537 YES votes, usurping the authority of nearly 60% of We The People of California. Hammering the final nail in the coffin was another dangerous liberal-Left FEMALE Federal judge, Marianna Pfaelzer who then issued a permanent injunction against the YES decision. THE FIX WAS IN (as usual) by Dems and Statists: The State of California refused to defend the votes of 5,063,537 YES votes that were to prevent taxpayer funding of Illegal Invaders, WHICH WOULD HAVE SET NATIONAL PRECEDENT... So... Instead of STOPPING the FREE-STUFF for illegal Invaders forevermore, this Flood of Illegals became encouraged to further invade the USA. An economic/demographic/cultural/electoral disaster for the future of the USA. We discovered that Democrat-Leftist Judges can indeed overrule and override the votes of millions of Americans. We also learned that California was indeed a Marxist totalitarian government as of 1994. Moreover, we could only conclude that as a result of this single case of fascist judicial overreach, US Constitutional Law no longer actually exists and Establishment Republicans routinely aid & abet Democrat/Marxist Monkey Business. We also learned and noted that as a result of the single case, the USA invasion became a Tidal Wave. Elitist Leftist Dems are Socialists/Marxists jammed the bill down the throat of the working taxpayers with the bill for the last 25 years. Q: Since 1994, how much has US Gummint been compelled to steal from the US Taxpayer, which has subsidizedIllegals for their FREE STUFF?? *OF FURTHER NOTE: THE ACLU WAS COMPLICIT IN DESTROYING THE CONSENT OF WE THE PEOPLE IN PROP 187.
Barbara Coe, CCIR - California Coalition for Immigration Reform Fought hard for 187, and got screwed by Governor Pete Wilson(R)'s deal. I've been to a few CCIR meetings in Garden Grove (a shithole), as well as discussions after at the local cop bar.
I remember standing by Barbara in her fight for this proposition measure. R.I.P. Barbara Coe and Terry Anderson who were the vanguards to standing up to this travesty of justice for those who desire to enter into this country legally.

Thank you for (as well as B. Coe and T. Anderson) for crusading at the time in support of preserving the Republic and opposing the illegal mega-theft of US sovereignty. That a couple of Lefty-Dem judges could and did nullify the legitimate I&R and consent of The People was TRULY the definition of "travesty of justice". The lazy, treasonous SOB Republicans (who could and should have fought this decision) blew off any challenge to this travesty and theft of justice. These 50 million illegal invaders would NOT have been able to STEAL taxpayer resources and benefits for the last 25 years or so. How much better off would the US be? How many Americans' quality of lives have been degraded as a result? How many have died? These 50 million EXTRA parasites have essentially cratered America's health care and social service system. Affected and penalized mostly? The American working class, who have had to deal with inferior or little health care insurance. THANK YOU DEMOCRATS, RINOS, and...0bama.
