Title: 'Hot Water Challenge' reportedly leaves teen with second-degree burns

A 15-year-old teen suffered second-degree burns to his face and body after his friends allegedly poured boiling hot water on him as he slept in a bid to complete the “Hot Water Challenge.”

Kyland Clark, of Indianapolis, said that he and his friends were watching videos of the challenge last week on YouTube before he fell asleep, and that his friend had attempted the challenge as a joke, Fox 59 reported.

Clark said he was startled awake, and that his injuries were immediately apparent.

“My skin just fell off my chest, and then I looked in the mirror and I had skin falling off here and, on my face,” he told the news outlet.

He was hospitalized for a week, and while doctors are hopeful that the pigment will return in his face in a few months, they warn that the challenge can cause permanent injuries or even death.

“If your friends are telling you to do this, they aren’t good friends,” Dr. Ed Bartkus, of Indiana University Health, told Fox 59.

Bartkus said the burns could cause permanent disfigurement or damage the airway. Last summer, an 11-year-old girl in New York suffered burns to her face and chest after her friends had poured hot water on her. The 12-year-old who reportedly dumped the water on her was charged with felony assault.

In Florida, a variation of the challenge tragically killed an 8-year-old girl last summer after she attempted to drink boiling hot water through a straw. Ki’ari Pope and her cousin had allegedly been watching videos of the challenge, and the scalding hot water caused fatal injuries to her throat.

“There’s a limit to what you should do in a challenge and what you shouldn’t,” Clark told Fox 59. “Don’t take it overboard.”

THAT is pretty much what's happening, isn't it? But if you're suggesting the next evolutionary step in this Idiocracy would be the "official" Russian Roulette game, yes, I can see it happening.

"Challenges" or "Pranks" these days = Suicide Pact for the dumbest kid in the group of "friends". It's actually heartbreaking that this is becoming epidemic. The most susceptible (as well as the perps) seem to be those without fathers or without a strong male mentor.

No one is saying it, but this phenomena is all about evil preying upon the weak, and acceptance of cruelty and the lack of compassion and empathy. Isn't this a spiritual problem?

Recall many years ago some had been warning (and being ridiculed for it) that a non-nonchalance toward murder and violence depicted as "winning" in video games -- as well as normalizing graphic/slasher movies -- would take root and anesthetize young minds from evil, bloody imagery? Well, it's happened.

Today's liberals/Dems are severely lacking as groups in morals, shame, without fear of accountability. OR TO GOD.

In other words, removing Christendom as America's societal moral compass is rapidly creating a society of psychopaths and sociopaths. No one feels shamed by any cruel, disgusting or evil behavior anymore. Nothing is "wrong" and everything is relative in Christendom's replacement: Secular Humanism.

My guess is they would use a fully loaded revolver, and then wonder, "how did this end so quickly."

Florida man hit by car doing Drake's 'In My Feelings' challenge

“Dancing in the Street” was a popular 1964 song by Martha and the Vandellas.

But dancing in the street was also the reason a Florida man got hit by a car recently as he attempted Drake’s “In My Feelings” challenge.

Jaylen Norwood posted a video on Instagram to his 15,300 followers of him doing the viral dance move on a street in Boynton Beach.

He performed the dance for just a few seconds before he was hit by an oncoming car.

According to Norwood’s Instagram caption, he knew the car would be coming. He was originally supposed to jump on the hood of the car to finish the dance but slipped on a wet spot while wearing sandals.

Norwood wasn’t seriously injured and proudly displayed his scrapes and cuts on the video.
