San Francisco began registering non-citizens, including undocumented immigrants, to register to vote Monday in the November election for the city school board, reported The San Francisco Chronicle. The move follows passage of a 2016 ballot measure by San Francisco voters opening school elections to non-citizens who are over the age of 18, city residents and have children under age 19, reported the publication. “This is no-brainer legislation,” Hillary Ronen, a San Francisco supervisor, told the Chronicle. “Why would we not want our parents invested in the education of their children?” “We want to give immigrants the right to vote,” Norman Yee, also a county supervisor, told KGO. But Harmeet Dhillon, who serves on the Republican National Committee, told the station she disagrees with those assessments. “The reason I voted against it is that I think the right to vote is something that goes along with citizenship and should be,” Dhillon told KGO. San Francisco became the first city in California to allow non-citizens to vote in local elections following passage of Measure N with 54 percent of the vote after two previous failed tries, reported KTVU. There are concerns that the non-citizen voter registration rolls, which will be open, could be used to target people who entered the U.S. illegally, reported The San Francisco Examiner. “Our immigrants, are they vulnerable? Absolutely,” Supervisor Sandra Lee Fewer told the publication. “But in San Francisco we stand strong together.” President Donald Trump and California leaders have clashed repeatedly since the 2016 election over immigration enforcement, sanctuary cities and voter fraud allegations. Community organizations, such as the Mission Economic Development Agency, plan to meet with non-citizens to inform them of the possible risks, the Examiner reported. Chicago and some Maryland cities also allow non-citizen residents to vote in school board elections, reported KPIX. Several cities in Massachusetts, including Cambridge, Amherst, Brookline and others, have at various times voted to allow non-citizens to vote in local elections, but those moves require legislation from state lawmakers to take effect, reported The Boston Globe. The San Francisco measure allowing non-citizen voting expires in 2022 unless renewed by the board of supervisors, according to the Examiner. The deadline to register to vote in San Francisco is Oct. 22 for the Nov. 6 election, according to the California Secretary of State’s Office.
Poster Comment: Allow people WHO BREaK US LAW" to start electing people and setting policies. Now THAT is a "no brainer." Becoming a citizen AND obtaining the right to vote is EARNED. When you give it away you are in effect devaluing and negating true legal citizen votes. I would encourage US citizens to launch a class action lawsuit seeking damages for what to be is obvious harm.

This whole debate about treating illegals like US citizen has been going on for years now, and STILL I cannot get my head wrapped around how some people view crossing the border illegally as a legal right. No other country on the planet is so tolerant. I guess all those years of indoctrinating the American masses, as we all were, that the US is the greatest country in the world and that everyone wishes they were born here has had this unintended consequence. Or maybe not so unintended. These conditioned Americans just have a view that civilization simply doesn't exist outside of the USA, so letting immigration authorities take them and return them back to the wild and dangerous wilderness where sabortooth tigers eat thousands of people every day would be a crime against humanity. Maybe that's it. So ignorant.
I can't wrap this whole, "We're gonna break law after law and will independently give Jose citizenship and freebies -- just try and stop us" 'tude around my head either. ARE we a Nation of Laws or not?? These conditioned Americans just have a view that civilization simply doesn't exist outside of the USA, so letting immigration authorities take them and return them back to the wild and dangerous wilderness where sabortooth tigers eat thousands of people every day would be a crime against humanity. They've taught/indoctrinated the pods since the mid-70s to adopt this distorted view of fake reality. And dopey mantras like "Diversity is our Strength". THAT one has stuck in everyone's head whether we believed it or not.
The American Left sees these people as "Revolutionary Cannon Fodder". Nothing more and nothing less. The idea is to have them revolt all over the country,and once they are killed off,the smoke dies down,and a new government is formed,they really do think THEY will be in charge. No way in HELL these elites are going to risk their own precious hides or the precious hides of their offspring,so they NEED ignorant,illiterate foreigners to start the revolution and do the fighting for them.

Even a childhood friend of mine -- an admitted socialist and University Prof teaching gender studies and "white privilege" five years ago -- thought that somehow HE'D be part of the Ruling Class revolt aftermath (we've notice a LOT of these masked punks ARE University Profs just practicing what they preach.) Btw Nolu -- WHY are these people allowed to riot and assault people IN MASKS?? WITH impunity? Isn't this against the law? No way in HELL these elites are going to risk their own precious hides or the precious hides of their offspring,so they NEED ignorant,illiterate foreigners to start the revolution and do the fighting for them. Yup. That's exactly who the Left's Echelon are using/sacrificing: Mushy pods, minoritahs, imported gangstas, and bitter lefty women with nothing to lose are easy marks.
