President Trump outlined a hypothetical replacement for Justice Anthony Kennedy, who announced his retirement from the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
Trump first thanked Kennedy Wednesday who served on the Supreme Court for 30 years for trusting him enough to retire on his watch: "He felt confident in me to make the right choice and carry on his great legacy."
The president told the crowd at his rally in Fargo, N.D., that he wants to pick a justice "that is going to be there for 40 years, 45 years."
"We need intellect, we need so many things," he continued. "There is so many elements that goes into the making of a great justice of the Supreme Court."

Some world-class trolling in this video. Trump built steadily to a crescendo, tying the SCOTUS nomination to Heitkamp, hitting hard at her re-election. Trump is going Full Troll on Manchin and Heitkamp. I expect he'll be doing the same to Donnelly and McCaskill. McConnell has to be happy to see Trump take on this role of direct attack dog. And it keeps Trump too busy to make as much mischief in the District leading up to the midterms.
Trump absolutely loves campaigning, possibly even more than 0bama did.
