In what appears to be an attack on all things good, the Miss America Organization has announced that contestants will only be judged on their thoughts, passion, and understanding

(INTELLIHUB) — Miss America has scrapped the tradition of judging contestants on their physical appearance altogether which has created a rather ominous atmosphere among those who represent the crown.

Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Miss America Organization Gretchen Carlson announced on Tuesday that the organization was “no longer a pageant” but rather a “contest.”

According to the former Miss America named board trustee, now, contestants will be judged only on their intelligence, passion, and their understanding of what it means to be crowned Miss America rather that what society thinks matters most which, historically speaking, has always been beauty.

Needless to say, withal, the organization is also doing away with the traditional Miss America gowns in what appears to be some sort of quickening of the current societal implosion.

Surely, the "Miss America Organization" is cutting it's own throat with this, as regardless of the good intent behind this decision, the public simply won't care who wins anymore. Ratings will fall, and either they'll roll back this decision or disappear. Perhaps a new future organization, bold enough to not be PC on this topic, will arise and take the crown from this organization.

Maybe beauty pageants are a dumbass tradition from the 20th century and no one should miss them when they do go away.

Women have a natural propensity to want to be beautiful. Always have, always will. Us guys like to race cars, women like to race beauty. There's nothing intuitively wrong with either.

I read something years ago that the most beautiful women were average or normal, meaning their eyes were the normal distance apart, their noses were average size and angle, their lips were the average distance from their nose and had the average width, etc. ad nauseum.

The focus of the article was on their faces. I really should quit calling my girlfriend lard ass.

I've heard that as well, long ago. If you create a composite woman with average everything, then she'd be quite stunning. At least in a generic type of way... if that's not a contradiction.

I do think some women with a set of unique but complimentary characteristics can be beautiful.
