WASILLA, Alaska - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin autographed copies of her memoir during her first public book signing in her home state. Palin, the former 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, signed copies of her best-selling book, "Going Rogue," Tuesday at the Curtis C. Menard Memorial Sports Center in Wasilla, her hometown. Enthusiastic fans began lining up at 5 a.m. for the three-hour event, which kicked off at 11 a.m., with early crowd estimates at more than 800 people. Earlier this month, Palin signed copies at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage and Eielson Air Force Base near Fairbanks, but neither of those events were open to the public. The events wrap up Palin's nationwide tour for "Going Rogue," which has sold more than 1 million copies.

I've seen lots of politicians use healthy as well as wounded troops as a backdrop to show how much they "care" while they couldn't give a rats ass about those troops, other than to use them as a photo op, to further their own careers. If you can enlighten me with facts and show me she does, I'd be more likely to vote for her, should this "private citizen", who was the establishment GOP pick for VP, decide to run as an independent.
