A crowd attending the Central Section Division I softball championship in Fresno on Friday evening burst into The Star-Spangled Banner after being told by the announcer that there would be no national anthem before the game.
Before Clovis High played Buchanan Friday night for the Central Section softball championship, the announcer representing the section stated there wouldnt be a national anthem prior to the game.
Those in attendance at Fresno States Margie Wright Diamond werent having any of that.
Following a loud chorus of boos, the patriotic crowd stood up and began singing The Star-Spangled Banner a cappella.
Many removed their hats and placed their hands over their hearts. Others simply stood tall with pride.
Players stopped their pregame warmups to turn around and face the American flag that waved beyond the center-field wall.
When the song was over, the crowd burst into a round of applause.
According to the Bee, the games organizers acknowledged that they had made a mistake.
Video of the anthem was posted to Facebook by fan Tiffany Marquez
Clovis High School defeated Buchanan High School, 6-3, to win the championship.

Nice to see and hear. NOT going to be reported at the usual Leftist-Propaganda outlets.
The irony: That p*ssy hat-wearing spinster-teacher's whining over Trump's letter made a thousand headlines...but THIS story of MAGA Patriots and during Memorial Day weekend does not.
The "News" as reported is nothing but Pravdan BS. (Yes, Breitbart IS News.)
I haven't watched a single local or CBS/NBC/ABC/CNN/MSNBC network "news" programs in years. IT'S ALL FAKE (that's NOT "news" is it?)
I saw it this morning at work - what you are leaving out is that traditionally, the anthem is sung before the first game - not before every game.
You've missed the entire point and symbolism of what happened. Wow.
And btw -- this event may be reported as a sterile, life-less piece here and there. On a macro-level. NOT in the manner or proportion of the way the dopey cat-lady teacher-story was reported.
Criticism of spelling and punctuation is the LAST refuge of desperation. (Still awaiting your "Names" of those who deem him an idiot.)
I'm sure you'll be far more concerned for the proper spelling of your name FEMA Camp destination as you're served your arrest warrant by the next Democrat President's goose-stepping masked thugs. (Unless you've paid proper penance and homage by joining the NWO Dark Side.)
