Only three Senate Republicans opposed confirmation of Gina Haspel as the new CIA director: Rand Paul of Kentucky, Jeff Flake of Arizona, and John McCain of Arizona (McCain was in Arizona battling brain cancer and could not actually vote against her). Six Democrats, some facing reelection, voted with the majority of Republicans to confirm Bloody Gina.

I note: “Among those who supported her nomination were six former CIA directors — Porter Goss, John Brennan, Leon Panetta, George Tenet, William Webster and Mike Hayden — and three former national intelligence directors — James Clapper, Mike McConnell and John Negroponte.” All despicable creatures. What a surprise.

The hypocrisy here is a mile deep.

Many of those same pols, like Schumer and Pelosi, knew about and approved the use of waterboarding long before Gina Haskell even knew it was going on. The top two political leaders in each party in each house of Congress are informed. In the Senate, Reid and Schumer knew along with McConnell and whats-his-name from Texas. In the House, Pelosi and Steny Hoyer both knew. None of these phony pols voting against raised any objections at all to this waterboarding at the time. But now they condemn her for something they approved of and gave the go-ahead for, back when it really mattered, when we were waterboarding these guys.

No spook has clean hands but this is nothing but a Dem attempt to embarrass Trump in an election year. And it failed miserably.

It appears, that it was not only water-boarding.

It appears, that it was not only water-boarding.

AFAIK, that is all the Lefties were complaining about.

Keep in mind, Haskell only became informed and responsible very late in the waterboarding period and only in limited locations. For instance, the eastern Europeans like Romania, Poland, etc. were not within her purview. Nor were the various renditions conducted in Thailand, Egypt, Syria (yes, Syria) and other Mideastern torture venues.

To read the articles, you'd think that Haskell had from Day One been in charge of every waterboarding and rendition-by-allies case. This is not true. If she had been, it's very unlikely they would have tried to nominate her. Even so, her very limited and very late involvement in stopping the waterboarding program has been used to tar her name with the public via the Dem libmedia allies.

Before you start bitching about Haskell, maybe you should inform us how many actual gruesome torturers (the rip-out-their-fingernails-and-amputation kind) have been brought to justice in sweet noble Poland.

So you are saying that she was not in charge of every water-boarding? A brilliant argument!

I expected nothing less from you.

If waterboarding is what people think of torture than torture me everyday and give me my country back!!!

No waterboarding is an inconveniences from daily life. Torture is having your balls electrocuted, being beaten with a rubber hose, being beaten till you body swells and being stuck in a room being forced to watch sex acts while being a child! Now those are torture and the Regressive left are torture enough for a sane society!
