Police officers have threatened to arrest and ban Facebook users who mocked their tiny drug bust online.

West Yorkshire Police shared a post about a ‘small’ amount of cannabis they seized from a young man in Walton colliery nature park on Thursday.

Many commenters were quick to poke fun at the Wakefield officers, with one writing: ‘Hope you manage to nail Pablo Escobar this afternoon.’

While another one added: ‘Is he looking for a 0.2gs of cannabis to steal and smoke?’

Police Inspector Martin Moizer wrote in a Facebook post: ‘***Cannabis Seized****

Another one poked fun at the size of the bust (Picture: Facebook/West Yorkshire Police – Wakefield Rural)

‘PCSO 687 Ian Campbell and PCSO 882 Ben Hughes attended Walton colliery nature park and seized a small quantity of Cannabis from a young man who was parked up alone.

‘Walton Colliery nature park will be firmly on our patrol plan in the future to prevent this behaviour.’

Another commenter continued: ‘Cartels are all goin fkn mental.’

While one wrote: ‘Wow that’s put a dent in the war on drugs lol.’

However, PCI Moizer updated the post a few hours later and said: ‘Please use this page with respect or you will be banned and maybe even prosecuted.’

He added: ‘I would like to remind everyone that this is a Police page and whatever your thoughts on one of my officers seizing drugs in the community, being insulting, abusive or offensive can and will result in a prosecution under the Malicious Communications Act 1988.’

Many supported the Moizer, with one writing: ‘Some people one here need to find a hobby because you have far too much time on your hands.’

While another one said: ‘The amount in possession is irrespective, the law being broken is not.’

A lot of people urged the Wakefield officers to ‘keep up the good work.’

The Brits are coming to a sad end.

"Don't you wankers dare make fun of my puny pot bust or I'll prosecute you!"

Being suckers for monarchist claptrap, we shouldn't be too surprised at how they've ended up. (2 images)

Yeah - that would never happen in Amerika, arresting and prosecuting someone for being critical of cops on Facebook.

I somehow guessed you'd like this article.

This one does differ from the guy flipping off the traffic cam. He was breaking other laws at the same time and that is what he was charged with.

This is just threats of prosecution if anyone says the emperor has no clothes. Classic European let-them-eat-cake royal folderol. And by some rural civil servant, no less. Cheeky is probably the right word.

European? More like British.

Go find a case like this in France - a case of somebody being threatened with prosecution for mocking the government and taunting officials.

Go try.

Really, try.

I will be gobsmacked if you manage to find anything approaching it. I think that the French probably have a government subsidy for kvetching at the government, and officials, and, really, anything. Those poor Charlie Hebdo guys were not afraid to mock Mohammed - the French just ain't intimidated by their government.

Marine Le Pen and the actions taken against her by the French elites amount to the same thing.

We see it in Sweden and other EU countries where people are being arrested and even being sent to prison for mocking or criticizing their government's insistence on imposing Third World hostile rent-seeking migrants on the country, ejecting people from their homes to give to these "migrants", etc.

Don't try to pretend that the EU's shite don't stink, Vic. We all know better. So do you.

Marine Le Pen and the actions taken against her by the French elites amount to the same thing.

No, they din't.

Marine Le Pen was decisively defeated by the French electorate because the French don't AGREE with the politics of the nationalist right.

Because of the anti-Semitic, Nazi collaborating past, and all of the lives that cost, the French have chosen to enact laws to punish Holocaust denial (which is to say, lying about history in order to advance an agenda of hatred of Jews: THAT is illegal in France and Germany, and given the historical loss of life, it is perfectly logical that it should be.)

In a similar vein, given Muslim immigration, the Europeans have chosen to make direct verbal assaults on Islam a crime. I have a much bigger problem with that, because Islam is frequently an aggressive, violent, oppressive, proselytizing force. I like Islam to Naziism, and think that it should be criticized, not mollycoddled.

But none of that is the same thing as mocking the government and its officials. Anti-Semites are not the government, and punishing them is not punishing people for making fun of the authorities. It's not on the same playing field, and it's not comparable.

A comparison would be if America simply outlawed the KKK outright, and outlawed white racist bigoted organizations, criminalizing the speech. I would not like that, because of more general freedom of speech concerns, but the government is not run by the KKK, and mocking cops is not the same thing as mocking the KKK anywhere outside of Greenville.

No, they din't.

They turned her down for credit for her last campaign, then started investigating her for criminality because she borrowed from Russian banks, the only ones who would loan her money. Or that was my understanding of it. I think they dropped the investigation after she lost.
