(AP) Ford Motor Co. says it is offering buyout and early retirement incentives to all of its 41,000 U.S. hourly workers to further reduce its factory work force.

Company spokesman Mark Truby said Ford still has too many factory workers for its current sales levels.

He would not say how many workers the company wants to leave but said Ford is working that out with the United Auto Workers union. Ford currently has about 600 blue-collar workers laid off but available for recall.

The buyout offer includes $50,000 cash plus a $25,000 car voucher or $20,000 more in cash. The retirement package includes $40,000 cash for skilled trades and $20,000 for production workers.

A lot of the useful idiots really BELIEVE that if we all become dependent on each other, there will be sunshine and lollypops and rainbows everywhere.

Absolutely. And they ain't even lying when they claim it will be a end to war. You don't declare war on yourself.

If this makes me a bad guy,so be it. I do what I can do within my means, but am under no illusions that I am going to save the country with my nickel and dime purchases.

Unfortunately that attitude by the American consumer 50 years ago is what precipitated the demise of US manufacturing.

.I won't be surprised to see some things out of hand by 2011 as the natives are going to be more than restless I bet.

I'm going to be mildly surprised if it takes that long, and going to be totally shocked if it's not in full roar before 2012. The money just isn't there to meet the obligations government already has (SS,military and civil service retirements, leo grants, welfare, food stamps, etc, etc, etc),and by 2012 they won't even be able to pretend that it is.

I'll probably start to show it's side with another idiot Tim McVeigh clownish action...

I agree. White people are getting fed up,and the number of them living on the fringe when it comes to financial stability and even mental stability is increasing exponentially every month.

One thing I have been trying to warn people about for years and keep getting ridicule for are my statements that blacks and browns talk shit about the white man being the debbil, and most not even having the first freaking clue about how true that is once you get him pissed off to the point where he's ready to fight.

The white man,by nature seems to be slower to anger than blacks or browns, and too many blacks and browns seem to think this means the white man is some sort of punk that can be pushed around at will and will never fight back. This people are due to suffer a shock of biblical proportions if things really do go all to hell. The white man has ALWAYS been a minority of the worlds population, yet he ended up controlling almost the whole world. This didn't happen because he was a swell dancer that believed group hugs were the solution to people problems.

I think most blacks may realize this at one level or another, except for the ghetto rats whose whole education came from the various Rev-Runs and rap recordings. The ones who are due to get a shock are the browns of the LaRaza type. Things may not work out for them exactly like they think when they start their revolution to take over the southwest and kill off all the whites.

and then it'll be interesting to see who jumps on which bandwagon. <<

I'm thinking a LOT of people are going to be surprised, and not all of them are going to be of the ghetto rat economic level. I think there are a awful lot of middle-class blacks and browns out there that are going to side with the whites, and fight for restoration of order and the Constitution along with American sovereignty. You just never hear about these people because they don't fit in with the stereotype that the media loves to promote. The media make their money by promoting and pushing controversy. That gets people to pay attention to what they are saying, and advertisers buy time or space from the media outlets that draw the attention.

Anybody that thinks the middle class blacks and browns that have worked hard their whole lives to get away from the ghetto rats are going to suddenly embrace them and their ideas of how the country should be ran is a fool. The only ones who will support them are the various Rev-Runs and "community organizers and leaders" who have gotten wealthy from pushing racism and hatred of the whites, and these people ain't going to be hanging around long because they will soon be running for their lives to prevent actual hangings when even their followers turn on them.

Which leads us to the wealthy leftists who are going to be the most shocked of all. The university/professor crowd, and the trust fund Red Diaper babies. The good news here is these people really ARE total fools, and most likely not even smart enough to run and hide. Their wealth and positions have always protected them in the past, and the non-Jewish ones will be easy to catch.

The Jewish ones will be the first to disappear for foreign lands where they will be safe. They have been through this before, genetically and historically speaking.

This site is dedicated to Robert L. Howard, one of America's most decorated soldiers. He served five tours in Vietnam and is the only soldier in our nation's history to be nominated for the Congressional Medal of Honor three times for three separate actions within a thirteen month period. Although it can only be awarded once to an individual, men who served with him said he deserved all three. He received a direct appointment from Master Sergeant to 1st Lieutenant in 1969, and was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Richard M. Nixon at the White House in 1971. His other awards for valor include the Distinguished Service Cross - our nation's second highest award, the Silver Star - the third highest award, and numerous lesser decorations including eight Purple Hearts. He received his decorations for valor for actions while serving as an NCO (Sergeant First Class).

Robert L. Howard grew up in Opelika, Alabama and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1956 at age seventeen. He retired as a full Colonel in 1992 after 36 years service. During Vietnam, he served in the U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Berets) and spent most of his five tours in the super-secret MACV-SOG (Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observations Group) also known as Special Operations Group, which ran classified cross-border operations into Laos, Cambodia, and North Vietnam. These men carried out some of the most daring and dangerous missions ever conducted by the U.S. military. The understrength sixty-man recon company at Kontum in which he served was the Vietnam War's most highly decorated unit of its size with five Medals of Honor. It was for his actions while serving on a mission to rescue a fellow soldier in Cambodia, that he was submitted for the Medal of Honor the third time for his extraordinary heroism.

Robert L. Howard is said to be our nation's most decorated soldier from the Vietnam War. He was the last Vietnam Special Forces Medal of Honor recipient still on active duty when he retired on Sept. 29, 1992. His story is told in John Plaster's excellent book, SOG The Secret Wars of America's Commandos in Vietnam.

It is important for future generations that we remember our military heroes and the great sacrifices they have made for us in the name of Freedom.

Excerpt from John Plaster's recent book SECRET COMMANDOS Behind Enemy Lines with the Elite Warriors of SOG - pg. 303: "The day that President Nixon draped the Medal of Honor's pale blue ribbon around Howard's neck, I sat before the TV in my parents' living room watching the evening news. Coming on top of his previous decorations - the Distinguished Service Cross and multiple Silver and Bronze Stars, plus eight Purple Hearts - Howard's combat awards exceeded those of Audie Murphy, America's legendary World War II hero, until then our most highly decorated serviceman. At last, Howard would get his due. I flipped station to station, but not one of the networks - not CBS or NBC or ABC - could find ten seconds to mention Captain Robert Howard or his indomitable courage. I found nothing about him in the newspapers. Twisted by the antiwar politics of that era, many in the media believed that to recognize a heroic act was to glorify war. They simply chose not to cover the ceremony. It might as well not have happened."

NOTE: In 1917, the laws governing the award of the Medal of Honor ended all DOUBLE awards of the Medal of Honor.

(edit) You're screwing with Goldi's girl. I expect to see you here more often in the future, if you catch my drift.

Car companies don't make clothes,plumbing fixtures,televisions,toasters,coffee pots,nails,watches,etc,etc,etc.

Did you see the year? It is much worse now. US consumers started buying imported merchandise not because there weren't US manufactured products, but because the imports were cheaper, driving US businesses to unprofitibility or bankruptcy.

BullBush! If you are trying to make the claim you only buy American made products, you are a liar,

if you are trying to lump me in with the internationalists

I always bought US manufactured products. We still have most of what we bought because the quality held up through use and time. I've got Filson and Pendleton clothing that I've been wearing for 20 or more years. Russell boots resoled two or three times. Fishing and hunting gear, some passed down from my father, boats, motors, trailers, vehicles, motorhomes.....all manufactured right here in the USA! I was willing to pay the extra amount some products cost in the interest of keeping my friends, neighbors and countrymen employed.

I don't know where you got the idea.

No kidding? Odd that you noticed this now,and didn't notice we were talking about Chevrolets when you broke in with the comment about Ford engines.

Posted as FYI that there are still manufacturers in the US.

The morons are people who still think that is possible.

Well people can continue to buy more imported products and drive all manufacturing from the US.

Unlike you I let reality intrude. Where were your tv sets made? Your tires? Your cell phone? Your coffee pot?

Oh really? Yet you somehow thought that I was suggesting Ford US manufactured engines were being installed in GM vehicles?

I still have the Curtis-Mathes TV, manufactured in the US, that I purchased decades ago. Though I watch little TV, I've never needed to have it repaired. My coffee pots are both US manufactured stainless steel Farberwares which I've owned for years. My first "cellphone" was a Motorola "brick". As far as I've been able to determine, there are presently no US manufactured cellphones.
