As a legal fiction, the corporate entities are distinctly separate legal persons. They do not have to show up in the flesh, but may do so by their attorney. The attorneys for a corporate entity showed up, pleaded not guilty, and demanded a speedy trial. It's an aw shit moment. Last week, they argued for a month delay because they were not sure the corporation had been properly served. This while the corporation was present in the court via its attorneys arguing to proceed. The source screwed up in giving the records to Avenatti rather than a journalist.
