Kanye West revealed in a TMZ interview on Tuesday that he wanted to apologize to George W. Bush for saying in 2005 that the president did not care about black people in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Kanye West said he was always told not to apologize to Bush, but that he recently saw the former president pushing his father’s wheelchair at Barbara Bush’s funeral in March, and he felt sympathy for him. “Do you know how bad I would want to go to George Bush and say I’m sorry for hurting you. I was an artist I was hurting when I went up to the telethon,” Kanye explained. “I said something in the moment, but when I look at you as a Dad, and a family member, I’m sorry for hurting you.” West repeated in his interview with TMZ founder Harvey Levin that he wanted to treat people like humans and spread more love across the country. “Does God want you to love everyone? … If you start thinking about love and start feeling love and thinking about forgiveness, then you can overcome things,” Kanye said. Love has been the theme of Kanye’s recent free thought campaign, in which he’s challenging people to break free from there “thought prisons.” The “808s & Heartbreak” singer also slammed the fake news media in his recent TMZ interview, referring to it as “torture porn” for losers.

I don't do ghetto (or Bushes) so don't follow this guy, but if he's sincere, that's pretty cool.
I was cynical about the whole Kanye thing but maybe black people are stupider than I thought. DailyCaller, 5/2/18: Black male support for President Donald Trump doubled in just one week, according to a Reuters poll on presidential approval. A poll taken on April 22, 2018 had Trump’s approval rating among black men at 11 percent, while the same poll on April 29, 2018 pegged the approval rating at 22 percent. It should be noted that Reuters only sampled slightly under 200 black males each week and slightly under 3,000 people overall. Trump experienced a similar jump in approval among black people overall, spiking from 8.9 percent on April 22 to 16.5 percent on April 29. Black males were also far more likely to say that they had “mixed feelings” about the president. On the 22nd, 1.5 percent said they had mixed feelings, while 7.1 percent said the same on the 29th. The results are interesting given the recent transformation of Kanye West, who posted a picture of himself wearing a Make America Great Again hat on his Twitter account last week. I still say it won't last, can't last in Kanyeville.

He's big culturally with blacks so it's harder for them to take him on. But the plantation will reel him back in eventually. He's not exactly a deep thinker. I always wonder why white conservatives are so gullible on the topic of The Good Negro. It's almost a fetish. But it's not a real thing.

You don’t see many people gain 54 net points in their favorable rating very often, particularly when we’re measuring celebrities and polling right-wing audiences. When you tweak the sample to ask people their feelings on Kanye based on how they voted in 2016, the left/right divide becomes even starker. To break that down for you, that’s nine percent of Clinton voters who are strongly or somewhat favorable of West (and 74 percent who are strongly or somewhat unfavorable) versus 36 percent of Trump voters who are strongly or somewhat favorable (and 40 percent who are strongly or somewhat unfavorable). Basically, Hillary fans now hate Kanye almost as much as they hate Trump while Trump voters are at about break-even on him. Assuming that most of Kanye’s fans lean Democratic, that means either Kim Kardashian is the new breadwinner in the family or Kanye had better invent the genre of country-rap and tour only red states in the future. . . . It won't last. He'll be back on the plantation in the next month or so, once the real cost of his flirting with the white Right becomes apparent. He will be made to pay and there are talented and powerful people working on that goal right now.

The salvo has definitely started. it will be interesting to see how long Mr. West can withstand them before he raises the white flag.
IMHO West is just an opportunist who is playing the race card and pandering to whites (who have the power and win elections). Remember he has said he will run for POTUS in 2012 - the ignorant sheep who got suckered by Obama, then bamboozled by Trojan Horse Trump will be jumping on the Kanye "outsider" bandwagon. Kanye will be the first openly Illumninati President. If they demonetize his Adidas contract, that's major trouble for the Kanye empire. And he does have a brand empire worth billions, like Oprah's. I assume this is only the first major salvo they will deploy against his escape from the Plantation. "Just come back, Kanye, and all will be forgiven."
IIRC, the music streaming service he started hasn't been doing so hot and he's losing millions. It's like Spotify only with exclusively black "artists". $20/month - Spotify has free ad-sponsored content. He has a lot of businesses. I haven't. I don't buy it at all. I think this is all some poorly-considered marketing scheme by Kanye, not the smartest guy. He's all marketing and PR, even more than Trump is. Mostly due to your habitual wallpapering of our sidebar with #FakeNews, cop-hate, and hate-America articles.

Snoop Dogg got somebody to do a photoshop of Kanye as a white man and posted it on Instagram. Takes a lot of nerve, considering Kanye is about twice as dark as Snoop Dogg is. Snoop Dogg is probably Kanye's main competitor commercially. Kanye is also taking attacks from John Legend, Samuel L. Jackson, and Kumail Nanjiani. I'm sure there's a lot more to come.
I saw something earlier about that today. Hey there's a lot of capital to be made by being black, gay, etc. Best to cash in on it. I hope I'm not that cynical, but I think I might be.

Money, ratings, fame, market share do more to explain Kanye's profound change of heart than anything else. He's playing a game for his own benefit and nothing more. He is a gaping maw of empty craving for fame and power and attention. Especially attention. And that tells us all we need to know about Kanye The Republican Negro. The most surprising number here, actually, is how unpopular Kanye was among Democrats even before he went full MAGA. I can understand them turning against him once he put his Trump cap on, just as I can understand Republicans gaining newfound appreciation for him because of it.
