On Thursday, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani joined President Donald Trump's legal team and said that he is aiming to bring Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation to an end within the next "week or two." Giuliani had said earlier in the day that he was joining Trump's legal team specifically to help wrap up Mueller's Russia investigation because it was for "the good of the country." “I’m going to join the legal team to try to bring this to a resolution,” Giuliani told the New York Post. “The country deserves it.” Giuliani noted that he has had a long relationship Mueller, a man that he said he greatly "respect[s]," and that he's done a good job. “I don’t know yet what’s outstanding. But I don’t think it’s going to take more than a week or two to get a resolution," Giuliani said. “I’m going to ask Mueller, ‘What do you need to wrap it up?’” Giuliani would not discuss whether or not Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein might be fired by Trump, stating, “I’m not involved in anything about those issues. My advice on Mueller has been this: He should be allowed to do his job, he’s entitled to do his job.” The Justice Department's Office of the Inspector General released Comey's memos to Congress today, a move that top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), said could lead to Rosenstein being "being placed in contempt of Congress and the special counsel investigation of being shut down." Poster Comment: I'm dubious about Rudi's chances but Trump could do a lot worse for a lawyer than a former federal prosecutor/politician who knows how to handle a hostile media.

Frankly, i think Trump has a lot of regrets about appointing Sessions as AG instead of Giuliani.
A careful serious appaisal of Trump reveals he doesn't have brains or integrity enough to feel ambarassment or regret about anything. He's just another loud-mouth huxter who ran for president and won against somebody worse than he is. We've had quite a few of those lately.

Tillerson was a slap in the face to everybody. He was more like Hillary than Hillary was. The two of them belong togather in a zoo for LGBT advocates.

When Rudi ran for prez, it was non-stop drag pix, most of them with Trump. When Trump ran, hardly anyone posted those. I bet Rudi noticed though. : )

It's also desqualifying in a candidate for a position requiring seriosness and dignity.

You can find as many articles saying that Giuliani turned it down. And he said at the time he was totally happy in the private sector and didn't want to re-enter government. I've wondered if Trump will fire Sessions finally and get Guiliani to step in as A.G. He is one of the few prominent Republicans who could get confirmed easily. It would be hard for Dems to say no.
