The multi-million-dollar lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court says that "In the Trump campaign, Russia found a willing and active partner in this effort" to mount "a brazen attack on American Democracy." The suit says that "preexisting relationships with Russia and Russian oligarchs" with Trump and Trump associates "provided fertile ground for [the] Russia-Trump conspiracy." The DNC said that while it would be impossible "to fully repair the harm caused by the defendants, the DNC has filed this civil complaint ... to hold the defendants accountable for their misconduct and to ensure transparency." Evidence gathered by the DNC could be made public in court filings and at a trial -- in contrast to information obtained through Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of Russian interference, which might not be publicly disclosed. Many of the allegations reflect conclusions of major U.S. intelligence agencies and comes from guilty pleas and legal filings by Mueller, who is investigating links between Russia and the Trump campaign. The time stamp intervals on the published documents are consistent with a download to a directly connected USB drive, and inconsistent with an online hack. There was no hack, there was a wrongful appropriation/conversion at the DNC by an individual who connected directly. The Mueller investigation has turned up nothing relevant to the 2016 election. The DNC lawsuit is a public relations effort prior to the midterm elections. The DNC has suffered donation problems since it was exposed for rigging the primary for Hillary and colluding and conspiring against Bernie. The DNC will never turn over the server.
