Just asking the channel about their capability and capacity to move the market as opposed to being some dipshit begging government or Jeus for help. Question: does anyone trade materials within the commodity markets in the USA on LF?

Not enough to count for a pimple on a ant! Its so expensive that only super hedge funds and large governments are the only ones able to make price move by any real amount. There has been times with I thought it should have risen but actually dropped and times I thought it should drop and it had risen.

I've budgeted a small portion of my retirement income to purchasing numismatic silver... But the market stubbornly ignores my efforts to make it move...
I'm pretty sure Fred Mertz hits the pawn shops on his way to the horsetrack. Would that count? In the entire history of the world,the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.

Try getting a http://Yahoo.com account set up and start looking in the "Finance" section for gold stocks. Like this one https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/nem?ltr=1. Start communicating with like minded-buyers on that forum who will provide you with ticker symbols for other penny stocks or low cost stocks. Gold is a great investment whether you are in the stock purchases or bullion purchases directly from them like http://kitco.com
Which gold you have in mind? Paper gold or physical one?
I have some aluminum cans. Some left over aluminum screen. Some left over aluminum gutter guards and some copper. I'm going to trade opit for some money.
Here is the best guide for prices, figure on about 25% under the stated price at a good scrap metal dealer.
As for paper gold, I would suggest Canadian Maple leafs of 1 troy ounces and Krugerrands. Put at least about 50% of your investment in these. As for stock try NEM and Barricks Gold.
The purpose of having an Ameritrade account is to do online trading and buying of stocks. To do this requires a money market account with a certain balance amount required. I believe Ameridtrade's minimum balance requirement would be $1500.00. That may have changed to attract new clients. More here on that https://www.scottrade.com/ Furthermore, you need to be early in the morning (depending on what time zone you are in) as the New York Stock exchange opens at 6 am ET. Find a live streaming quotes website like http://money.net and starting watching your stocks. Also, I suggest you get yourself a book called Barrons Financial Guide Dictionary of Finance and Investment Terms 7th Ed. to get yourself acquainted and educated with the terminology used.
