I've never heard of him and live in one of the Reddest states. But I never liked any of the Vietnam-era war movies much. Like Prez Trump, I only like people (in movies) who win America's wars. : )
Actually he has quite an extensive body of work. I guess if you don't know all of his movies by heart, you're not a fine, upstanding, patriotic, Trump-loving American or something. Hey, he was a voice on The Simpsons, so he must be okay.
