Similar arrangements are in Lebanon (Lebanon and Syria culturally are the same country): President is always a Maronite Christian, Prime Minister a Sunni Muslim, and the Speaker of Parliament a Shia Muslim.

Yes, but as you note the President of Lebanon is a Christian. Lebanon is NOT Syria, and this is the current Main Issue. In Syria as noted its President can NEVER be a Christian. This while the government must ALWAYS be subservient to Sharia Law.
