Moscow (CNN)Russian President Vladimir Putin boasted Thursday of new weaponry he claims will render NATO defenses "completely useless," delivering a warning to the world about Russia's resurgent military might.
In an annual address to the Russian Parliament, the Kremlin leader said Russia had developed a new, nuclear-capable cruise missile with "unlimited" range that is capable of eluding air-defense systems. He also said Russia had developed an "invincible" missile that can deliver a warhead at hypersonic speed. Putin is running for re-election in mid-March on a platform that emphasizes his strength as a leader. Thursday's speech was an occasion for the Russian President to showcase his country's strides in military technology.

This is old news a friend just showed me. Has anyone heard of this?
If he didn't take off his shoe and beat on a podium,it doesn't count.
Russians are such drama queens.
In the entire history of the world, the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.
He announced not just hypersonic nuclear bomb delivery ability, but also stealth long range nuclear armed torpedes that could go thousands of miles and detonate near coastal cities.
Either he's the madman that McCain and Sneaky think he is, or he may be experiencing frustration with how the US ignores Russians concerns in world affairs, not the least of which has been the US meddling that resulted in the Ukrainian revolution.

Yes sir I know that. I just wasn't aware that he made a cute video of nuking Florida to go along with it.
Honestly if i was giving Putin a little bit of a benefit of the doubt, this moves the needle more against Putin.

I understand that it isn't his job to do what America or anyone else desires.
I did some digging to verify this illustration. Most all of the illustrations of missile movement are on a globe with fictional coastlines, but it does appear there is one brief frame of multiple missiles approaching what resembles central Florida, interestingly from the west side over the Gulf of Mexico.
Aside from that, I can't find any illustrations that show missiles approaching anything resembling mainland USA, so what is deemed provocative is very brief.
Putin's main point is he has these weapons. In his speech he complains about the US withdrawing from missile treaties and claims this was against his own wishes.
Gosh, I'm sure glad we have a FLOTUS who was raised by a card carry member of the Soviet Communist Party - so she and her POodleTUS husband can reassure folks why the USA is superior and preferable in every way to her former homeland.
