He has full civil service protections so he'll get over 99% of his pension. He was career civil service, not just a political appointee like James Comey was. Firing him on his last day when he was already on vacation leave seems kinda petty.
His behavior was criminal. You must not have paid attention to his texts. It is long overdue not petty at all. He should now be prosecuted.

Don't know, that's a pretty big "if" A more realistic scenario is that he'll be hired elsewhere in federal government, (offers already on the table, I believe) and end up collecting his full pension. in any event - this is just another emotionally driven diversion by the comb- over-king.
