Ivanka & the Saccone's About 5,000 supporters gathered in a Moon Township airplane hangar to see the president speak. It was the same hangar where he held a louder rally with about twice as many supporters before the 2016 election, at which people waited more than 2 hours to hear Trump speak and killed the time by throwing around giant beach balls. At this event, however, the chants were quieter and a slow stream of attendees began filing out of the facility more than 30 minutes before Trump's speech wrapped up. Republicans are concerned about this shift in a previously secure Republican region and have come out in heavy force behind Saccone. White House counselor Kellyanne Conway this week served as a "warm-up band" to Trump's campaign stop and Donald Trump Jr. will visit the region on Monday. Ivanka Trump campaigned with Saccone last month, before this last-minute push. Democrats have outperformed in nearly every race since Trump became president. The White House does not want to lose any Republican-held seats, let alone one suffer the public relations nightmare of losing a region once considered an almost certain win for the GOP. Trump sits at a 40.7 percent approval rating, which is low compared to other recent presidents at this point in their terms. George W. Bush was at 77.7 percent approval 414 days into his term, George H.W. Bush sat at 71.9 percent, Bill Clinton at 52 percent and Obama was at 49.1 percent. Among likely or registered voters, Trump's approval is slightly higher. Where bees the black peeps at?
