That's way too close to a snuff film. Not really. Just another day in the life of SF soldiers deployed on hot missions. There is no excuse for this happening these days,though. There should have been a high-altitude drone with heat sensors flying high cover ahead of them to pick up any hidden troops. They could have then called in fast movers to bomb and gun the piss out of the hidden enemy,and the guys on the ground could have then advanced on the hidden positions to gather intel,capture wounded enemy,and kill the hell out of any left living with any fight in them. In the entire history of the world,the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.

This is especially true when you are trying to call in fast movers whose pilots speak another language,have probably never trained with SF troops,don't know their tactics, and who come under the command of another Air Force. And don't try to blame the poor SSG goober on the ground that had this dumped in his lap and was ordered to do it. He was and is completely innocent. It's not his fault he didn't know what to do because it wasn't his job to do that and he had never been trained to do that. If you want to know who to blame,look around for someone in that command structure that is either a LTC or a Colonel. You have never been in the military,have you? Presidents are "big picture" people. They don't involve themselves with the operations of small units. Nor should they,since none of them know a damn thing about small unit infantry operations. Or large unit operations,AFATG. With the exception of Eisenhower,of course. I'd be surprised if he was even informed about that operation until after it had already gone bad,and turned from a military operation into a political discussion. BTW,SF troops deployments are unlike other troop deployments. They deploy to foreign countries to teach the armies there how to fight for themselves. When they do get into firefights,it is because they are accompanying a unit of the national army as advisors when it gets into a firefight. They are there to ADVISE,and only fight when they have to. The obvious exception is the Muddle East,where our government loves to waste that talent by sending them in on raids. I was under the impression that was going to change. Oh well. Unfortunately our military has been taken over by the PC crowd that finally got their agents promoted into command positions in the US Military. They are protected by the political creatures that put them in those positions,and nothing can be done about it until and unless an actual revolution occurs. IF that happens,they will either be the first to execute,or the first to be executed by their fellow professionals. Sadly,the people that give them their orders from Capitol Hill will not be under official suspicion,and they will survive to plot another day. Probably.
