Broward Sheriff Scott Israel has said BSO training and nationwide active-shooter procedure call for armed law enforcement officers to confront shooters immediately rather than secure a scene. The document raises fresh questions about the department’s handling of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Feb. 14. It certainly does, although those aren’t the only pressing issues about the BSO and Nikolas Cruz. It raises fresh questions about Sheriff Scott Israel’s rush to focus public attention on Peterson, too, who may or may not have been responding to Jordan’s order when deciding to hold his position rather than enter the school. Oddly, the statement from Peterson’s attorney never mentions this order from Jordan, although it certainly would help mitigate the perception of his client. Perhaps neither Peterson nor his attorney were aware of it at the time, which would tend not to mitigate Peterson’s actions. However, it again raises serious questions about Scott Israel. The sheriff went on a media blitz after the shooting to demand gun-control legislation and point the finger everywhere else but at himself and his own department. Israel went far out of his way to hang Peterson out to dry without revealing this order from one of his department’s senior leadership. At the very least, Sheriff Israel seems to have no idea what his department was or is doing, and at the worst, he’s been deliberately distracting from its failures and their consequences. The stand-down order at the moment of the massacre is bad enough, but that’s not the only one for which Israel’s department is responsible. Their pursuit of the Obama-era Promise program was a broad stand-down in the face of dozens of opportunities to intervene effectively with Cruz. The BSO had made forty-five calls to Cruz’ house over a few years, and the school had twenty-five separate disciplinary actions against him, including carrying bullets into the school. Other students had repeatedly warned of Cruz’ potential for violence at the school, but rather than enforce the law, Israel and BSO colluded with school superintendent Robert Runcie to ignore juvenile crime — repeatedly so in Cruz’ case — in order to make juvenile crime statistics look prettier for the Department of Education. So yes, let’s probe the stand-down order from Captain Jordan and hold deputies responsible for their failures on February 14th. But let’s focus much more attention on the stand-down orders that had been in place for years and allowed Cruz to escape responsibility for earlier crimes, which would have prevented him from purchasing his weapons at all. And let’s make sure that Scott Israel gets removed from this equation and identified as a particularly discreditable source from this point forward, too. The Broward Sheriff’s Office captain who initially took charge of the chaotic scene at a Parkland high school where 17 people were killed told deputies to form a perimeter around the deadly scene — which they did instead of going in to confront the shooter, according to a partial BSO dispatch log obtained by the Miami Herald.

WHO was it whose policy and order Jan Jordan was following? GOT to be a YUGE investigation here. But not holding my breath. If Vegas wasn't investigated then why would this?? Trump has to flex Executive muscle and demand an investigation of BOTH.
We should have known all these details in the first few days. Instead, we got an onslaught of gunbashing from libmedia and The Children. I don't think that's an accident. They've spent a few weeks pushing an emotional agenda with The Children and know that most people have tuned out the story now. So it isn't so dangerous to finally do some actual reporting. It will go safely unnoticed now that the main gungrabbing media orgy has been conducted with orchestration supplied by the Soros and Bloomberg and affiliated gungrabber organizations.
Well, as long as the collective, collusive Dem/lib-MSM Propaganda Machine continue to churn out Fake Narratives while making the bad-guy "The NRA!!", their stature as THE "news" and "reporting" will continue to mask the truth. HOWEVER, too much info is percolating to the surface, isn't it? (Thank God for the "alternative media".) This stuff reveals too much to be ignores. Israel is just too filthy to evade his own corruption. I think the Dem-Puppets -- the Fake MSM -- may have chewed off more than they can handle in this case. Not even this stench can be fully covered up by the Dem-Lib Media and LE/DS elements.

That is their usual MO, ain't it? They immediately blitz the airwaves in unison, aggressively maintaining the pressure with their own ubiquitous narrative. They do so until absorption and retention and osmosis of the narrative is embedded. By the time the REAL truth emerges, as you note, many have already embraced the impression, and the Libmedia die is cast. The Fake Media realizes that eventially the Truth will emerge, but by that time, it's Mission Accomplished. The Sheep will have tuned out the Truth. Most CONSERVATIVES and Republicans however will hang in and see things through. There is good reason and method behind YouTube/Facebook CENSORSHIP madness. However, they can NOT shut down the President and his tweet-bombs, can they? They gives conservatives badly needed juice.
Yet the basic facts remain almost unremarked. This was a 19yo known psycho who conducted a massacre in a building of 9th graders on a large multi-building high school campus. Yet all of these Gungrabber Kids are the juniors and seniors at that school and were in entirely different buildings and, as it turned out, were never in real danger at all. And, in the course of the interviews of the students at the CNN town hall, over half of them were active in the theater arts curriculum and some other Lefty kids who were connected with student government. Little theater nerds and class president wannabes. All looking for their 15 minutes of YouBoob fame. The Children are not what they seem to be. These are not your average kids at that Florida school. But we never hear anything from any of the other kids at that school. We've heard very little from any 9th grader who was actually at risk during that attack on their building.
I still don’t know if he is a coward or not. But I damned well know that he shouldn’t have been called a coward ONLY on the basis of what was being reported.
We should have had all this info in the first few days after the shooting. The FBI seems to be pretty worthless except when it comes to launching phony political witchhunts and leaking to the Beltway press. They need to clean house at the FBI in a major way.
Peterson also said that when the shooting started, he had an immediate report that a student was shot at the football field and it did sound to him like the shots were coming from outside. That is probably why he established the perimeter, which he said the right action. I suspect he of course called that information in and that may have been when the Captain arriving at the scene also called for a perimeter to be set up. No one will know anything for sure until after the investigation is completed. Even then, all the facts and reasons for various actions may never be known. Some on LF post shit like they had a PhD in criminology and were observing multiple screens with cameras all showing live action. They knew exactly what wa going on all the time and exactly what should have been done. If one can’t be something, then they can always be a LF resident expert on everything. Well, I'm no expert but the more we learn about the deliberate inaction by the cops in this situation, the more it is obvious that the "stand down" was a deliberate tactic which allowed the maximum body count. It appears to me that the stench goes all the way to the top of the department. This was definitely a time when cops should have defied the order given by the Commander (a woman no less - are you fricking kidding me) and rushed in to save as many souls as possible. Then again, they were obeying the prime directive of police work - to make it home safely at the end of the day. Peterson also said that when the shooting started, he had an immediate report that a student was shot at the football field and it did sound to him like the shots were coming from outside. That is probably why he established the perimeter, which he said the right action. I'm sure that will be the excuse he gives at his trial. If the SRO thought there were shots fired at the athletic field and went there, most of the attack might have been over by the time he found the attack was in the 9th grade building. The other 3 deputies were the ones who got the stand-down order from the commanderette. She bears the most responsibility IMO. Some of those kids bled out because she didn't sent those four inside to start clearing the area and identifying wounded kids. When a kid is bleeding out from major wounds, they have only minutes before they're gone. At most.

I have read a couple variations of the information presented in this article and they all say the same. I figured all along that while everyone was calling Peterson a coward, there may be more to the story since it was reported that Peterson said, “I was doing the right thing.” I read more, but to post it would only reinforce my original thoughts. I knew that as always with these reports, and especially the ones Deckard posts, there could be more to the Peterson story than what was coming out.
