Title: Parkland Shooting First Responder Comes Forward, Says He Was Told to “Stand Down”

“I could’ve saved lives,” said the first responder.

In the two weeks since the tragic shooting occurred in Parkland, Florida, we have learned that cops cowered outside instead of helping, the police and FBI were all warned on multiple occasions that the alleged shooter, Nikolas Cruz, told people he was going to shoot up the school, and nearly two dozen people reported Cruz for death threats. Now, however, we are learning that not only did the cops cower in fear instead of saving lives, but they told first responders not to help.

“Everything I was trained on mass casualty events says they did the wrong thing,” said the first responder, who spoke with WSVN Miami News 7 reporter Brian Entin on the condition of anonymity.

“You don’t wait for the scene to be cleared. You go in immediately armed. Retrieve the victims. You can’t leave the victims laying there,” he explained.

But they could not go in.

As the man explained to WSVN, he was telling officials that he needed to go in, but they told him not to.

“We were asking to go in. Asking the scene commander to go in. Why are we all standing around? Why are we not having patients to treat? Why are we not going into the building and retrieving these kids? The response every time was law enforcement did not clear the scene and would not allow medical personnel in,” he said.

Arguably, the death toll could’ve been far less had emergency medical personnel been allowed in as some of the victims lay bleeding for nearly an hour. Indeed, the first responder agrees.

“I would hypothesize I could have saved lives. I can’t say for sure,” he said, adding, “I would have risked my life to go in. I was eager to.”

“I was frustrated the entire time I was there,” said the first responder, explaining the disheartening scene.

“Rapid evacuation of the wounded. All they had to do was drag them out of the building. And we could have started medical care,” he said.

The first responder said that police made that decision at the time but noted that it was the wrong decision. “I don’t think it was the right one,” he said. “They should have been more aggressive about getting the victims out.”

“Can’t say for sure if the people were dead inside or if they could have helped,” he added.

He then explained that he saw at least one victim who had to wait 45 minutes before getting loaded into an ambulance. “Frustrating” doesn’t even begin to describe the level of anger and pain the parents and families of the victims must feel knowing that their child laid bleeding out as cops told paramedics not to help them.

It wasn’t just paramedics who were told to stand down either. As FOX News host Laura Ingraham revealed this week, police were told to stand down too unless they had on body cameras—as if a body camera somehow makes a police officer better at stopping a school shooter.

“Broward County sheriff’s deputies were supposedly told not to enter Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School unless they had body cameras on, which they did not have,” reported The Daily Wire. “Ingraham also revealed that police ‘lost radio transmissions’ during the shooting, which also happened at the mass shooting at Fort Lauderdale airport shooting last year, which is also in Broward County.”

As more details continue to emerge about this tragic incident, the ones who are seemingly most responsible for the death toll, other than the shooter, seem to be the ones who claim to keep people safe. It appears in this instance, however, that they did the exact opposite.

In the two weeks since the tragic shooting occurred in Parkland, Florida, we have learned that cops cowered outside instead of helping,
We have only very recently learned that upon arriving on scene, Captain Jan Jordan, commander of BSO’s Parkland district, gave the order to to “stage” and set up a “perimeter” outside -- instead of immediately ordering or allowing officers to rush in to neutralize the suspect, Nikolas Cruz.

Broward Sheriff Scott Israel has said BSO training and nationwide active-shooter procedure call for armed law enforcement officers to confront shooters immediately rather than secure a scene. Why she did not immediately do that and decided to establish a perimeter is unknown. The logs indicate that at the same time these commands were given, law enforcement still had not located the active shooter.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating all of the responding agencies and timeline of the day of the shooting it will surely be revealed why after the results of the ongoing investigation are released. 1 1a However, two law enforcement officials said the call for staging or a perimeter might not have been a bad call because staging and a perimeter eventually has to happen during most emergency situations and the commanding officer might have had information the rest of the crews did not. 1a

According to multiple reports and police information, Nikolas Cruz entered Building 12 on the campus of Marjory Stoneman around 2:21 p.m. and began firing. Law enforcement tells Fox News the shooting lasted about seven and a half minutes.

According to a portion of the dispatch log, there was a call that came in at 2:23 p.m. from a female student about shots fired.

At 2:25 p.m., more “SHOTS FIRED” were recorded by responding officers or witnesses.

At 2:26 p.m., the log indicated another call came in advising the shooting was coming from “THE 1200 BLDG.” At 2:26:56 p.m., Cruz was still firing, according to units on scene. “UNITS ADV SHOTS FIRED” the log read.

At 2:29 p.m., the log indicated responding officers did not know where Cruz was. “UKNOWN SHOOTER LOCATION,” the log read.

At 2:30 another active shooter call was logged, that a mother of a student advised, “HE HEARD SHOTS FIRED HE IS IN 11th GRADE IN A MATH CLASS UNK ROOM NUMBER.”

At this point, eleven minutes after it was believed Cruz first opened fire, the log indicated one of the commanding officers started ordering responding officers to begin forming a perimeter, which one law enforcement source said would go against all training to first neutralize the threat.

At 2:32 p.m., the dispatch call log indicated the first command to form a perimeter was issued, “17S1…NEED PERIMETER.”

Sources told Fox News the 17S1 insignia on the log that day is important because it is the insignia, or code, for who was making the commands. 17S1 stands for 17 Sierra One.

A short while later, as the dispatch log indicated the whereabouts of the shooter was unknown; the first command to “stage” apparently was given.

2:34:48 p.m., “17S1 STAGE SIDE SAWGRASS.”

Then, three minutes after that staging order, the log indicated the scene was still active as emergency aircrews indicated they would not go because it hadn’t been confirmed the shooter was in custody.

2:38 p.m., “AIR RESCUE ADVISED NOT LAUNCING UNTIL CONFIRMED SUBJ IS IN CUSTODY,” the log read.

At 2:47 p.m., 15 minutes after the first command to form a perimeter was issued and 13 minutes after the first command to stage was issued, the log indicated the SWAT team entered the school.

At 3:02 p.m., the log apparently indicated the 20-minute delay in surveillance that law enforcement was using to track down Cruz. “20 MIN DELAY FROM CAMERA HE EXITED THE BUILDING RUNNING SOUTH,” the log stated.

At 3:03 p.m. the log stated, “VIDEO SHOWS HE POSS MIXED WITH KIDS.”

At 3:10 the log indicated Nikolas Cruz has been identified by a baseball coach, “POSS STUDENT NICHOLAS CRUSE 43 FROM BASEBALL COACH.”

At 3:16 the log indicated Cruz was identified again. “UNIT ADV ON DISPATCH 11A THAT THE SUBJ IS POSS A WM NAMED NICHOLAS CRUZ, WM LSAW A BURG SHIRT, BLK SHORTS, WAS LAST SEEN ON S/E END OF THE SCHOOL…” the log stated.

Eventually, Cruz was apprehended near the school. He is currently in custody.

Yep.

If you mean by stating “yep” that those officers arriving on the scene should have confronted the shooter immediately….then please intelligently explain to everyone how LEO can immediately confront the shooter when they did not know where the shooter was.
The logs indicate that at the same time these commands were given, law enforcement still had not located the active shooter. 1a

I can tell you this - he sure wasn't outside the school where the cops were cowering.

The logs indicate that at the same time these commands were given, law enforcement still had not located the active shooter.

So - instead of actually going into the school and searching for the shooter - the brave "heroes" were ordered to wait outside?

Yeah - that sounds about right.

Broward Sheriff Scott Israel has said BSO training and nationwide active-shooter procedure call for armed law enforcement officers to confront shooters immediately rather than secure a scene.

And yet they did not do that, did they?

Great job defending the cowardice of the "heroes" at the scene Parsons - Doubleplussgood!

Oh, you don’t know where he was, but you do know where he wasn’t. Hmmm. And how do you know this. Let’s see now. Oh, “after the fact” you might have read something somewhere to suggest that. Eh?

Since the log shows that LEOs did not know where he was, I ask you again to “please intelligently explain to everyone how LEOs can immediately confront the shooter when they did not know where the shooter was.”

Well ???

They follow protocols, do their jobs and search for the shooter. Following the sound of the gunfire and the bleeding students would be a good start

Your repetitive questions which have already been answered are becoming quite tiresome - with all due respect, piss off.

...how LEOs can immediately confront the shooter when they did not know where the shooter was.”

They follow protocols ...

What does “protocol” state for them to do, if they don’t know where the shooter is? Tell us, “Oh Worthy Expert.”
...how LEOs can immediately confront the shooter when they did not know where the shooter was.”

…do their jobs and search for the shooter.

So they start a room to room search only to find out while they were doing that, the shooter was actually over at the football as reported.
...how LEOs can immediately confront the shooter when they did not know where the shooter was.”

Following the sound of the gunfire …

It has been reported the sound of gunfire appeared to be coming from outside the building as well as inside.
...how LEOs can immediately confront the shooter when they did not know where the shooter was.”

Following….bleeding students …

The bleeding students only shows where he has been, not where he is or will be.
… would be a good start
A good start would be for you to just shut the fuck up with all your wild hypothesis making exaggerated suppositions or amateurish proposed explanation….all made on the basis of limited information.
Your repetitive questions which have already been answered ...
You have answered nothing….all you have done is to again make an ass of yourself.

LEOs did not know what weapon he had. If they rush in, the shooter can be any student with a pistol hidden in a back pack. and run right by them.

Or, better still…he slips by all the LEOs since they don’t know who they should be looking for and walks down the street blocks form the school.

WAIT….that’s what acutally happened.
