People attend a blessing ceremony with their AR-15-style rifles in their cases at the Sanctuary Church in Newfoundland, Pennsylvania. Hundreds of couples toting AR-15 rifles packed a Unification church in Pennsylvania on Wednesday to have their marriages blessed and their weapons celebrated as "rods of iron" that could have saved lives in a recent Florida school shooting.

I can't say anything nice about any S&W. You're probably too young too recall it much or were overseas during the kerfuffle but S&W tried to throw everyone else under the bus during the Xlinton gun grabs by trying to enter into an agreement which the Xlintons and Janet Reno intended to use as a model to strangle the entire gun industry. I'll never forgive them for it. I regret buying a Glock 23 just because it shoots S&W .40 ammo. I should have bought 9mm instead. My feelings toward them still haven't changed. On March 17, 2000, Smith & Wesson made an agreement with U.S. President Bill Clinton under which it would implement changes in the design and distribution of its firearms in return for "preferred buying program" to offset the loss of revenue as a result of anticipated boycott.[14] The agreement stated that all authorized dealers and distributors of Smith & Wesson's products had to abide by a "code of conduct" to eliminate the sale of firearms to prohibited persons, dealers had to agree to not allow children under 18 access, without an adult, to gun shops or sections of stores that contained firearms.[14]
